The Owls and the Canaries wait to see

If a weekend winner is found,

Neither have managed to win recently

On their own or on another ground

And in their own wood, the Owls might, to boot

Think tomorrow could be the day,

But the wee cheep could just deafen the hoot

As we travel well when away

And if we hope to stay up near the top

Our visiting form mustn´t flag,

For in our own greenwood we´ve hit a stop

With respect to points in the bag

But those day snoozers have also been poor

With three pointers some way away,

Five games without a win to our own four

Going in to tomorrow´s fray

So a share of the spoils is on the cards

But I´m sure that´s not how we think,

Go a  goal up, then our defensive guards

To stand firm without any chink

After all, that seems quite a foolproof plan

As those visiting us have shown,

So just for once let us join in the clan

One-nil, and the Canary has flown. OTBC

Stalemate again up at Hillsborough Park

Where neither could find enough guile,

To find either net or go make a mark

In a game lacking in some style,

Best chances I admit, they were all ours

But Westwood had one of those days,

We had him scrambling around on all fours

But that´s what he´s paid for, so praise,

Grabban, to me, had the best of the lot

Put well clear with just one to beat,

But he tried hís luck with one more pot shot

Go round him instead, with quick feet,

But it´s easy here after the event

To analyse just what went wrong,

I´m hoping all these missed chances won´t dent

Confidence when some more come along. OTBC
