I found it mildly amusing when he first stuck his oar in, maybe helped that he was having a pop at Starmer. But it is every day now, he has become a bit obsessed, and having a pop at Farage because he doesn't like Tommy Robinson, just seems a bit childish.

He was going on about the king dissolving parliament the other day. That's not how it works. He doesn't care tho. He knows a load of people will listen to him. He's just a wind up merchant with a budget

Technically the King actually can, but it would never happen.

This caught me out entirely, I must say. I've been out at a party this evening and an American friend thinks he and Trump are going to fall out massively in a matter of months.
I spend a lot of time on Twitter, and I haven't seen as much interaction between Trump and Musk. The trouble is, certainly with US politics, a lot of it is about dancing with big money donors. While, at the same time, desperately trying to show that they do not own you. When they actually do...

Really interesting reading the solar panel and Finnish education discussions. Living out here in Romania and reading those, seems as though I'm living in la la land. The only ones to gain like that here, are the millionaires and the corrupt ones, of which there are many

Meant to say, I had a log burner installed in September, I've had to buy some logs for this year but have already collected quite a bit for next year. At this time of year you're usually paying more than the direct debit but mine is currently still less. Not environmentally friendly for some and I'm only heating one room but I love it.
We are moving house soon and our new property has log burners. We will be removing them as my wife has read up on them and says that they are very harmful to your health due to the particles

So anyway, if you are concerned about grooming gangs
Labour have always been happier in opposition. Pointing out problems is easier than resolving them.
I think they are finding life very uncomfortable right now. For lots of reasons. There really aren't many positives, and as dreadful as the Tories were, Labour are making them look good.

That's very true. The tragedy is that once these sorts of lines are crossed, there's no going back. I do think there's a difference between people getting involved on the ground and behind the scenes rather than this really base approach Musk seems to have embraced. Some really low-brow stuff that I'd expect from the most ignorant of plebs on occasion, not a highly intelligent multi-billionaire.

I also don't think it's right to have someone given so much power in government policy, like Musk has, being an active businessman with a lot of government contracts. It's all very well believing the best gamekeepers are poachers, but that doesn't mean you want to employ gamekeepers who are active and successful poachers at the same time they're supposed to be looking after your game!
Yes. Personally I don't see the Trump-Musk partnership lasting all the way through to the end of Trump's presidency as the two guys are very much used to getting their own way and they will clash at some point. Still it's going to be fun watching the sparks fly over the next four years as we transition from sleepy old Joe to some live wire characters

I'm not a fan of Cambridge. The centre has a weird layout. The train station is too far away from anything. Shopping wise it's not a patch on Norwich. Certainly in the centre the pubs aren't the best. I do like the natural history museum with a cool whale skeleton on the cafe. Overall Norwich is a much better city though.

Meanwhile, Andrew Tate decided to set up the BRUV Party (Britain Restoring Underlying Values).

And there I was thinking that if Tate were at the helm, Clowns Undoing National Traditions could be far more apposite.

You should try Jena, my home place in Germany then! Three train stations, none of them quite central - and even more amusing, the arguably nearest one is called Paradiesbahnhof (Correct, "Paradies" means "Paradise" in German).

Sounds like someone decided to make a half-hearted attempt at cornering the market in holidays for trainspotters.

Does Jena have a Lego shop? Decent drum shop? Both things are high on the list for potential destinations

Giving me too much credit there. One-eighth at the very most. ;)
