While staying with friends on Christmas day, a mix of 20 somethings and two of us oldies in 50s and 60s I was somewhat taken aback when at 3.00 I think it was, while doing the washing up they all gathered around the TV to watch Her Majesty. Now this is something I haven't done since I was made to do so at about 10 years old. I think it was the 'young uns' that shocked me most. Do people really still do this? Now if it had been Queen it would have been different ( a brief thanks to Radio Norfolk who played Bohemian Rhapsody as I was preparing the sprouts earlier that day). I was invited to join them all in the lounge but I just couldn't get that last bit of dried stuffing off the tin.
