Ticket prices, its started again

Rather than being a Supporters Club in the sense of anything that has gone before; this new venture is geared solely towards encouraging and facilitating social interaction amongst fans. At no point do we (the volunteers as a group - we're just some people offering up a bit of spare time) expect or want to become a perceived mouthpiece for the fans and as such will remain apolitical.

I'm sure that every fan has an opinion but the Social Club won't be presenting a collective view on this or any other administrative policy. Essentially, we're just looking to bring fans of all opinions, locations and viewpoints together to enjoy being a part of our great club in each others company. 

If people have strong opinions then hopefully the forums that we are looking to put on will provide a platform for people to voice them, however, we certainly won't be looking to try and tell people what to think.

Two points, firstly, I believe that the rules relating to prices charged to away fans by home clubs has to be charged at the same rate as an equivalent seat for home fans. The whole principle being you can't charge them more.

However, there is absolutely nothing to prevent the home club charging away fans a lesser amount.

Secondly, I was asked by a friend this morning to confirm the NCFC home grading structure for the season. When I looked on the club website this morning, it still had links to last season's pricing grid.

If causal prices are the same this season as last, then the Palace match is graded as A+.

I'm also surprised at the speed with which they have sold out. The Palace game is far from a glamorous fixture in terms of size of club, history etc, no more than say Leeds or Derby in the Championship, games which casual supporters could get tickets for a few days prior to kick off. OK, sure the standard of football will be higher but it's almost as if you can stick 'Premier League' on a ticket, charge what you like and people will flock to watch it.

Its also the first game of the season and we're back in the Prem. The opposition is almost irrelevant.

Feeling 'the love' for the club spread from 26000 regulars to over 38000 in our game at Wembley so my view is the feel good factor of the day has carried on into the Palace game.

Agree Tilly, the playoffs and particularly Wembley will have re-enthused some and attracted new active supporters. Also sales of priority memberships will have been high before the final, a fair proportion of these may well have been renewed, particularly with the offer a few weeks back, and are being made use off. So to get casual tickets priority membership will become a necessity meaning more will be sold and the club will then have managed to create a lovely upward spiral which they will rightly be delighted with.

I would anticipate that casual tickets will be in high demand for a few games, and that priority memberships will be at an all time high together with the season ticket waiting list.

And it seems that Palace have sold out of there 2500 tickets for the game too, so whether you agree with the pricing or not (I don't) I guess in some regard the club have got it right

From a supply and demand perspective one could even argue that they have priced tickets too cheaply!
