I don’t know if any of you travel to the game via Thorpe but I think this is now going to become a bit of an issue. When the Binners first started using the Townhouse there was about a dozen of them. They would walk to the ground quietly with a copper at the front and one at the back. Sunday there must have been around 30+ of them. The police walked them down the middle of the road holding up all the traffic, they let off a flare and exchanged plenty of insults at the Fat Cat. They really need an away pub closer to the ground in my opinion, the problem is there aren’t any now are there ?

I think the Compleat Angler had just got sick of having their pub wrecked by away fans. Can't think of any pubs anywhere near the ground that would have away fans in.

Can't imagine why the Townhouse would entertain away fans, surely the regular customers staying at the hotel plus the restaurant customers would be put off by large group of football fans 20 or 30 times a year.
It would wreck their business..

It’s only once a year as it’s only the Binners that use it. The bloke that got banned for running on the pitch when they scored last year seems to organise it as he lives here.
