Liza off then, I like his playing style.

Whenever I have seen him play, he has been very direct & positive, often scoring.

I'm sure he will rip it up in League 1

Yeah always hoped Loza could break in to the first team. He is so mobile and quite clinical. Now it seem he won't make it thought, but all the good luck for his loan spell again. He is at least league 1 level player if not championship. With buy option included (is it?) I think this is last time we see him.

Santon seems to be paper talk thought I think he would be very useful player for us as we dont know if Pinto can make it and he can play other side of the field also and in Newcastle he always looked one of the best players when they struggled. West Ham and WBA also linked to him so seems like agent rising attention.

Don't know what to feel about Bamford. Clearly a talented boy, but if he find it difficult in Palace I think he will find it in Norwich. With Hooper and maybe Lafferty gone and Naismith playing behind a striker he could have a chance here when AN dont feel Mbokani is up for it, but is he any Better than Jerome as all around striker. As loan player we wouldn't take much risk with him so could prove to be smart move to just add ranks.

He is out of contract in the summer and unlikely he'll be offered a new one, so a buy option isn't necessary.

"We got some finance in and that allowed us to do what we wanted and bring in who we feel is going to contribute to the starting XI.”

Was that just sale of players or an injection of finance from elsewhere?

The club have agreed a deal with the bank to drawdown against future TV revenue.

OK, what impact does championship TV money have on that?

I'm not a pessimist, but it must be factored into any finance deals that relegation is a possibility & TV revenue next year could drastically change.

I guess all these things are taken into account.

Yes, they are, that's why the spending is still relatively conservative.

Good signing but it raises a difficult issue. Mbokani looks like first choice so does Jerome now fall down the pecking order? If he gets less game time or doesn't even make the bench this would be harsh as he hasn't really done much wrong this season and always looks a threat.

Well I still think that we are bit too conservative (not money wise, but player wise) in the markets. Nothing too special signed this window and all the players outside of Pinto were players that had hard time to find playing time week to week. Klose and Naismith are good signings squad wise. They should be quite much players that you can expect to be consistent and reliable. Still we used quite a lot of money to get those two in our ranks so I feel sitting on the fence until I see them a bit more. If we wasted almost 20 millions for players who don't improve our overall quality I will feel very dissapointed as neither will improve nor have big resale value, if they fail and are probably in big wages in our standards.

Pinto is a joker and he is a signing I would like to see more for our team. Low risk with possible big reward. Bamford signing makes also good sense no risk included and will get us some depth even thought I dont know how much we will use him.

Anyway these signings should have been done during the summer when we were in better position for signing players and they would have been cheaper. Outside of Klose everyone of these players would have been availeable during the summer if we have acted a bit earlier in the window.

But yes signing 4 players during the winter to strenghten the positions which we all have acknowledged to be our weak spots is good business, but in my opinion we are just doing what football club should do nothing more, nothing less. So at the moment I dont feel any exitement nor dissapointment.

debuchy from arsenal would have been an excellent signing at rb - but pinto has time on his side.

CB, LB, def midfield and a striker are the key areas to bolster come the summer once we survive, unless we can pick another rabbit from the bag

But it looks like we have strengthened all of the weakest parts of the team and so we should have a good 4 months ahead.   As good a window as we could have wished for,

At the the time of writing, only 4 clubs in THE WORLD have spent more on trying to improve their teams than Norwich in this transfer window. We've improved in every area of the pitch bar goal keeper.  To suggest that they have done the bare minimum seems somewhat bizarre to say the least, it's not football manager but even if it were I'd be pretty pleased with our business.

I don't think that's anything to be proud about though really, because it was our failure to spend in the summer which left us needing to do a lot of business this month.

Also, have we really needed to arrange finance to make these purchases? Haven't we sold players for a total of 16m? All sounds a tad bit odd.

Johnson 6m, Grabban 7m, Hooper 3.5m?
