I think, if he stays, we definitely need another striker, and Idah needs a season long loan at a Championship club. If he stays Idah should still go on loan, he needs the minutes, I think he would have got more last season had it not been for his injury.

So for me, Pukki, Hugill, + new striker. Idah out on loan.

I can understand that maybe last season, given the level, and while I don't doubt he has promise, I didn't see a huge amount from him that says he is good enough for the Premier league yet. Even as back up for Pukki though, how often will he get 90 minutes?

This is the thing with Idah, to me he looks handy and that he can contribute. Problem he has is he needs a run of regular football. He is only 20 so does have a bit more time, if Hugill goes he’ll obviously stay here, perhaps Farke sees him pushing Pukki more for a starting spot or he can play left side also.

Whilst totally accepting we haven't seen much of Idah, there is no sign to me of PL potential. Whether that will emerge after a season's loan, who the hell knows. If the powers that be really are depending on him for 'big things' this coming season, I can't see it. We need a PL quality front man in, or we will be back where we started quicker than we want imho.

Sick Note Sam starts training with the first team this week.
Obviously we would wish him the best, it can't be pleasant being injured regularly and not being able to do his job.
But, you know me better than that, I can't see him being a contender this season. I wasn't impressed by his performances on the grass and his propensity to injuries surely makes him a member of the squad who can't be relied on.
Am I alone in wishing for a couple of new defenders to come through the door?
