To be fair, Bennett's brilliant at playing 60 yard, cross field balls. It's just his short passing that lets him down.

I'd like to see what Miquel looks like so hopefully he plays in the cup tonight. Potentially one for the future, but doubt he'll get a chance to bed into the team if we go up, so think this season would be well placed for him to start working on a partnership with Turner.
My other half and her Dad are both Arsenal fans and spoke very highly of Miquel when we signed him and have both been very surprised he didn't slot straight into the first 11.

Yes both Turner and Hooiveld are slow, which means that they don't close down attackers quickly enough, but Martin is hardly electrical. It really leaves only Iggy, a little bit unknown, and Cuellar who blundered in his game earlier with an unforced own goal. I would hope that Iggy fulfils his early promise and that Bennett learns from experience. They could well become our central partnership next year. There's also Gafaiti, but he's out injured for a while.
In the present situation the fit CDs are Turner, Hooiveld, Iggy, Cuellar and Martin. Given that Adams seems to prefer to play Martin at RB, and that he has only just recovered from back trouble, I suspect that the back four could even be Whittaker, Cuellar, Iggy, Garrido, but that seems so new that NA may not choose them all.. It will be interesting to see who plays in the defence tonight.

Thought Hooiveld had a better game today. That one incident where Ruddy ultimately gave away the corner once again shows the worrying lack of pace with Turner. Not a prob when he has Bassong next to him. Hooiveld is very similar though, which makes us vulnerable to pace. If we're going to be the dominant team in most games this season, can see plenty of teams getting some joy with fast paced counter attacks

Yeah I thought he was much improved today. Made a brilliant challenge on I think Ismael Miller at 1-1 to deny him giving Blackpool the lead.
