Webber's plan

There are different ways to think about our current predicament, and how Mr Webber might approach it. (and it probably depends on how his own contract is set out)

1) We cull some of the overpaid underperformers, reduce the wage bill, spend all transfer monies raised on young, hungry talent (whilst also giving the more settled squad members a kick up the ass), and push for promotion this season.

2) We have a mega-cull, slash the wage bill by 2/3, accept we won't get promoted this season, but put in place a plan for the 2018/2019 season.

My gut-feeling is that the league is wide-open this year. No outright favourite. (FFS, we are still only 10/1 to win the *bleep* league!) I think we should be pushing to sign the very best players we can this year, albeit with a wage-ceiling in mind (so probably looking at League 1/championship/abroad)

I think he is doing both 1 and 2. The budget will be set expecting the worst, ie not getting promoted. But lets not forget that we ain't that broke, we have offloaded a lot of wages, and we still have a year of parachute payments left. Also couple that with the fact that we are a very well run club, with virtually no debt, so we can still remain competitive.

I think there was a certain amount of kidology by basically implying anyone and everyone was for sale.

Apart from Dorrans I don't reckon many more will go.

Yup and I have had a little punt on us winning the league.

I'm going to wait a few more weeks, I'm hoping that when other Championship teams start spending money, our odds will lengthen........and that's when i'll stick a tenner on us!

Webber and Nick Mashiter must be real good buddies!

I have a 'mutual friend' with Nick Mashiter on facebook. 

I can exclusively reveal that Mr Mashiter is in fact a Norwich City fan. 

He has a cover photo of yellow and green subbuteo players with Wembley stadium in the background, which he posted on the day of the play-off final in May 2015. 

Presumably he is originally from Norwich and knows somebody at the club who is feeding him information. Looks like he does actually work for the Press Association, so would guess this is with the blessing of Webber himself. 

Not going to message the 'mutual friend', haven't spoken to him for a decade.
