That's what you get when blindly back an owner who pulled the plug on your category 1 status a few years ago!

150/1 on Ipswich getting promoted and 9/1 on Norwich getting promoted at the minute.

Can also get 66/1 on us getting relegated with one bookies, 25/1 with most of them. 10/9 is the best odds available for Ipswich.

I'm enjoying this, they need their spell in League One after they enjoyed ours so much. I fancy them to get stuck there like Charlton though.

The return fixture this season may be the last chance they get to beat us for many years. We'll miss the derbies, but we'll just start counting the unbeaten run in years instead of fixtures.... It will be 10 years if they fail to beat us at Carrow Road this season.

TWTD is a cracking read just now, its like a massive penny is dropping. Perhaps Mick really did have them punching above their weight!

I said at the time that sacking Mick McCarthy would relegate them.

He literally didn't pay a transfer fee for any player in 4 or 5 windows before they spent a couple of million that summer where they signed Waghorn and Garner.

He consistently turned free transfers into something resembling a footballer, or polishing turds if you like. They were very fortunate to have him, and they were too thick to realise. Although we were probably a little bit guilty of that with Hughton, especially if its true that he didn't really want Van Wolfswinkel (not sure where I heard that, could be bollocks).

You could well be right re Van Wolfeswinkel, I think Mcnally very much saw him as an investment oppurtunity as his club was in the financial poop, and we negotiated a good price. A lot of independent opinion reckoned we were getting the bargain of the season. Lol.
