Which youngsters should we loan out?

The loan window opens soon, don't know precisely when but think its usually a week or two after the transfer deadline closes, presumably to allow the FA to catch up on paperwork before receiving thousands of faxes. 

We've got such a large squad now that it is difficult to see many of the youngsters getting any match time. Not sure what Adams will be thinking about the Shrewsbury game, but should imagine he'll use it to give minutes to many of the new players and those coming back to fitness or try a new system with senior players. 

Can't see Kyle Callan-McFadden or Adel Gafaiti getting any match time and they may be best off going out on loan somewhere further down the league system? Likewise to Cameron McGeehan, if he wasn't going to start at Crawley then he would be best off going out on loan to League One or Two? 

Mark Bunn is likely available for loan? 

What about Jacob Murphy, stay or go?

I do think some will go on loan, but I hope careful consideration will be given to where. Gafaiti went to Oldham on a season long loan and played in one match, coming on in injury time. What use was that? McGeehan on the other hand, went to Luton on a season long loan and got 18 matches and scored 3 goals. That's more like it, IMO.

I'd keep Jacob Murphy and Jamar Loza because with Snodgrass and Pilks leaving, we don't have as many options in the wide positions.

I'd rather we loaned out Declan Rudd, and keep Bunn as 2nd choice. I think Rudd has the potential to replace Ruddy in a few years time, or possible before if Ruddy leaves, and the only way he's going to develop is if he plays regularly.

I'd like to see the likes of McFadden, Gafaiti, Jacob Murphy and McGeehan loaned out though, as well as Jamar Loza. With Loza though we can put a recall clause in the deal so that should we suffer with injuries we could bring him back. It's just that right now he's not likely to get on the pitch, so a loan would at least get him some first team action in a professional team, as he's another one who has a bright future.

Agree....McFadden, Jacob Murphy, McGeehan and Gafaiti. I'd probably add Loza and McGrandle as well. Big step up for the latter from SPL to Championship, a League 1 club until Jan would do well imo.

Oh and Bassong. Qualifies as a youngster due to his apparent childish, petulant behaviour/attitude.

As I understand it, Mark Bunn wants regular first team football, rather than sitting on the bench.

There were rumours that he was on the point of returning to Blackburn before he got a knee injury which put him out for 6-8 weeks

Bunn is injured and probably off in January. I think Rudd is now our number 2 goalkeeper. I'd try and get him the odd few games in the season somewhere depending, as if we don't go up first time of asking, I can see Ruddy going.

I'd keep them here until after the Shrewsbury match and play a few of them.

After that, perhaps i'd let Jacob Murphy, Gafaiti, McFadden, Hall Johnson, McGeechan out and consider Loza and McGrandles depending on how we are and how they look in training. McGrandles strikes me as one of them that could potentially go straight in so I think we've got to give him that chance. If he Sanogo's it up, we send him on loan, no pressure on him to perform at this level just yet but if he can then it's a bonus. We have a strong 1st and 2nd eleven, so places are very tight.

with the strength of the depth of the squad I think all of the youngsters should be available for a loan until jan at the earliest. to give them real football   eg get AG6 out on loan for the season,  we have cover in depth and playing 20 league 1/2 games will do far more for him than the odd first team subs bench and uncompetitive u21 season will give him.   McGrandles has that experience and if impressing already is probably worth keeping.

The number of appearances/starts for all bar perhaps rudd and josh will be minimal.

All of them - as many youth players as possible.

Let's face it, only Josh Murphy and Dec Rudd will sit on the bench now, so the most experience any of the others will get will be sitting on the front couple of rows of the team bus for away trips or sitting behind the dugout for home games. Can't see our new signings/returning injured players being happy if 3 or 4 youth team players are on the bench in preference to them.

Experienced strength in depth, loans outwards for experience and investing in up-and-coming talent are exciting indications of some serious planning for the short- mid- and long-term future of ncfc.

I'd be surprised if Conor McGrandle goes out on loan just yet.  He sounds a real talent and NA has talked about him needing to beef up a bit.  That talent may be best protected and his strength best worked on by nurturing him at the Club - it also gives him the chance to really settle in.
