Win at home draw away

Conventional wisdom always has it that to win the league you need to win consistently at home and pick up draws away equally frequently.

We seem to be going about it the other way! Anyone got any thoughts about why this is? Looking at the fixture list, I would have expected to be pretty disappointed with home draws against Bournemouth and Birmingham, but I am not because of the the consecutive away wins. But how long can we keep doing it the hard way round?

Teams coming to CR know they will have to work their socks off to get something. So that's what they do. At home they are going for the win, or should be, so possibly that gives us more room when attacking.

It is important that we get the first goal at CR. Last thing we want to do is give a team something to hang onto. Yes it did not work against Bournemouth, but let's hope that is the exception.

I agree SY - although I didn't feel Bournemouth necessarily came to play like that, they did impress me.

But if we are going to play against teams that are going to try to pack two banks of four and hit us on the counter then I worry about the lack of pace Hoiveld and Turner have.

I also think that maybe remembering that matches begin in the first minute and not the 46th minute could help too!!

As one of the 'big fish' in this league, we're gonna have to get used to teams coming to Carrow Road and packing the midfield, and trying to hit us on the break. I think Adams and co are still getting used to that. For the last 3 years in the Premier League, every club that has visited Carrow Road have come here to try and win. Now we're coming up against teams that are more than happy with a point, and we just have to accept that and adapt to it. I'm sure in a few games time we'll be winning at home how we have been away so far this season. We just need to give the lads time at let them learn how to break teams down.
