Great that ncfc are willing to speculate a little with up and coming prospects. Even if a few might then be loaned out. McGrandles, Thompson, Miquel and some of the academy prospects. Good foundations for the future.

100% agree with this, it's great to see the investment in the future. Get these young lads in early and give them an opportunity to compete. I also think it's shrewd by McNally to get these players in while we're still in an extremely strong financial position. A 600K here a £1 mill there on players who really could go on to great things. As mentioned in the other thread, I'm extremely confident in this team, the plans for the future and the current management set-up at the club. We are extremely lucky to have a club like this and not be owned or run by a nut job.

If smaller clubs like Norwich want to be able to bridge the gap to the larger teams' level of income, they are going to have to start 'flipping' players.

Chelsea have this strategy so they can stay within the FFP rules - whilst Norwich aren't going to be buying the players of the calibre of Van Ginkel, Marin etc they can employ a similar idea to increase income (and potentially uncover a few gems).

Yep, good business all round, those youngsters will bring us long term success, there's been some very smart moves behind the scenes i feel. Starting to feel that last season is gone and this season is really starting now.

So many good players coming back from injury, new exiting young blood too,couple of seasoned pros added, Happy Days.

Really happy with the youngsters we now have at the club, it seemed like for ages we didn't have any younger lads who looked like they could go and be future stars, but now we have quite a few. Great to see.

When a manager is signing 18 or 19 year old players you know that he is putting the club before any personal ambitions he has, particularly with Adams who isn't naive enough to think that there is any more than a very slim chance that he will ever manage these players when they reach their full potential. Even if he does exceedingly well it remains unlikely that he will be our manager for any more than a few years in modern football.

At risk of sounding boring, I agree.

For relatively little money we have acquired some good prospects. Add these to home-grown talent,- Murphy brothers, Loza, McGeehan, MacFadden, and you would hope that of these seven at least half could fulfil their potential. This doesn't mention Redders either. He is perhaps nearer to becoming a really good player than the others.

NA has built a very promising immediate squad and also one which could flower a year or two down the line. Great!

I think that provided he doesn't make a complete balls up of this season, Adams could well be here for considerably longer than the average managerial tenure.

I'm sure it was mentioned that Chelsea have 26 players out on loan at the moment, mostly youngsters. Whilst I can never see Norwich having this many, we clearly need to balance the development of these players, playing for the Under 21's or out on loan in Leagues 1 & 2
