Am not so sure, to be honest. I think things are a bit more urgent than that. I didn't see a lot of patience from fans at full time yesterday.

Tomorrow morning is most likely. If I were the board I would take today to clear my head, and have a meeting first thing in the morning.

Can you image what the atmosphere will be like against Huddersfield if an Adams led team goes down at 23rd place Wigan, which you would hardly bet against.

Surely they have to act now?

I find it remarkable that a CEO can tweet but cannot take the proverbial bull's horns and say something that isn't just platitudes.

Yes there are times when statements can be delayed because of other issues that may need FA ratification etc but the waters do need calming right now. The lift that, I would estimate, the majority of fans got from Phelan's appointment, was kicked right from under them after that display and they are entitled to something better than players reacting and silence from the powers that be.

Even if it is just an acknowledgement and promise to do something about it.

Not sure - "I hope" sort of implies he doesn't know what's going on himself.

If McNally was against Adams's appointment (as some on here suggest) then his Saturday night (being confronted in the club in that YouTube vid, plus some apparent nonsense at his son's stag do) is hardly going to have him leaping up the Carrow Road steps two at a time tomorrow morning.

If promotion at the first attempt is the true #1 objective of the club, then we can't afford any further dropped points.

I note our next game is an away trip to Wigan - managed by Malky Mackay of all people!  Who writes the scripts in football?

If the decision is now taken to get rid of Adams, how many external appointments would be OK to take Phelan on as assistant manager? Looks like they may have no choice but to run with Phelan as the next manager.

Very much so. But more to the point, appointing him, then sacking Neyul, just a few days later, really makes them look indecisive. Frankly I think they have to stick with Adams, for at least a week or two, to see what effect Phelan has.

That's my view too Morty. I reckon Derby away is the long stop date but if it goes seriously pear shaped against Wigan, they won't want to risk a Grant Holt inspired Huddersfield victory at Carrow Road
