Distinct lack of gloating

The funniest thing on TWTD was the "Mind the Gap" thing they started when they were (briefly) above us.

such immediate gloating, after we'd been a division above them for the past three years, and had beaten them 4-1, 5-1, and 1-0 the last few times we'd played them, does make me chuckle.

They're more deluded than i thought. 

They still think Mickey Mouse McCarthy will turn them into title contenders next year. I wasn't aware HOOFBALL was the style required to gain promotion, just looking at the three sides who won promotion this time around.

Also amusing waving money at us when Evans took over ( 80 million worth of debt later.....) the planned flypast when we got relegated, and the relegation countdown clock.

Praying for it. Another promotion for them could really see them pull away from us. very similar set up in EA to what's going down in Wales right now - Cardiff are historically the bigger and better club and always looked the likely team to go all the way when looking for PL football, but Swansea had that one season that's made them since.

More cringey than funny, in a "speshul" kind of way.

I'm all for supporting your team, and proclaiming the team you support is the best team in the world.

But some of their logic / reasoning really is tenuous at best.

Most of them gobbing off weren't actually alive during their succesful period!

As many of you know I was once a season ticket holder at Leeds during my student days. Now Leeds, whilst having some decent salt-of-the-earth Yorkshire types as fans, also seems to have a greater proportion of total no-teethed scrotes than most clubs. I remember being stood outside of the ground after a game waiting for the bus, and overheard some of the afforementioned discussing transfers. Its a long time now, but I think they were discussing Real Madrids interest in Jonathon Woodgate. One particularly scrotey type proclaimed, 'I just dont know why he'd even consider it - Madrid are good and all, but there's no club in the world as big as Leeds Utd'

The gap is now huge.......

.....it was great moment on the tube coming away from Wembley when a large group of our fans started singing "mind the gap, mind the gap".....

If we can manage to stay up this coming season, with the money then coming our way, and if they dont go up, that gap will see us well and truly out of sight of them.
