Peaky Blinders (Series 1&2) - 9/10

First series was absolutely fantastic and got better and better with each episode. Only gripe would perhaps be the finale was slightly underwhelming. The second series though was just as good, and the finale of that series was brilliant. Cillian Murphy is excellent as Tommy, and I would go as far as to say that this is the best British TV show out there bar none. Cannot wait for series 3 later this year. I do hope though that Tom Hardy features more in S3 than he has done so far. Such a wonderful actor, who's character in this is brilliant, so I couldn't believe how underused he was. But no, wonder show.

True Detective (Series 1) - 8.5/10

Have to admit after the first couple of episodes I was a little disappointed. I found it slightly complicated tbh and I was really hoping that it started to improve. And holy f*ck it did. Absolutely loved it from then onwards, and the finale was superb. I was hooked practically all the way through. The cinematography was wonderful as well.

I'm really disappointed though that it's a whole new story for series 2. And therefore McConaughey and Harrelson aren't going to be in it. They just both absolutely make the show, and they are perfect together. I mean the plot itself isn't anything particularly original or spectacular, the only real difference is the religious aspect. However it's their relationship and their characters that is the reason this show is so good. The acting from the two of them is brilliant, and McConaughey's character was fascinating to watch. I know that the way this series ended meant they couldn't carry on the story into the next series, but I just can't see this being as good without them.

Planning on watching Fortitude and House of Cards sooner rather than later as well.

I just started watching "The 100"

Bit of a comedown after finishing Sons of Anarchy.

Not sure I'll stick with it or not.

The Wire was excellent, Life on Mars one of the best things I have ever seen on British TV.

Not watched Homeland or True Detective yet!

A few mates are telling me really good things about Banshee.

That's some list Morty :D A few of those are on my to-watch list as well.

As my post above says, True Detective and Peaky Blinders are both excellent, would highly recommend both. The acting from McConaughey and Harrelson in TD is some of the best acting I've ever seen.

Can highly recommend The Returned (the french subtitled version,  not the appalling US remake) if you can bear subtitles.    Second series being filmed and the one series (now Utopia has finished) that I genuinely cant wait to start again.

Just watched TD - can only agree with the earlier recommendations.    On your list that I have seen my only reservation would be post season 1 homeland - I simply lost interest.

If you haven't seen it it's about a guy recreating his favourite scenes from GTA and turning around corners in a dramatic fashion with his gun out.

I think the new series of TD isn't particularly great to be honest. Gradually got better over the last couple of episodes and if hopefully the 2nd half of the series picks up. Mr Robot is superb though.

Fortitude (Series 1) - 7.5/10

Overall  it was excellent, however I felt that the final 2 or 3 episodes let it down a little bit. I was hooked all the way through though and look forward to series 2. The opening few episodes were absolutely fantastic. Will certainly be watching series 2.
House of Cards (Series 1-3) - 9/10

Fantastic programme. Probably my second favourite ever programme behind Breaking Bad. The first series was probably the best first series of any show that I've seen, and Frank Underwood is easily my favourite TV character. The top actors make you forget that watching an actor if that makes sense, and that's exactly what Kevin Spacey does with Underwood. Wonderful show and I can't wait for series 4.

I've recently enjoyed watching both Intelligence and Ray Donovan (never got round to seeing it when it first came out).

I'm also a big Rookie Blue fan, so looking forward to the next series of that as well.

The World At War.

Saw some of it in history class at school and have finally decided to watch it through. Much better than 24.
