Odd then that we're supposed to be all excited about some guy whose achievements are no greater than those of Adams. No, nobody was excited about Neil Adams. If I remember rightly we were split between furious and resigned.

OK I'm being a bit of a party pooper but specifically what is it about Farke that should make anyone excited? No one seems to have explained that yet.Can you not at least be a little excited?

I quite like the look of this fella Marco Reus, lets test the waters and try and get him in on loan for 3 or 4 yearsI wonder whether Dortmund have got any wonderkids that they may fancy loaning us for the season?
Don't be silly, he's always injured.I quite like the look of this fella Marco Reus, lets test the waters and try and get him in on loan for 3 or 4 years
surely it'd be better if they came here, then we can show them what a yellow wearing football team really looks likeA pre season match at their place would be awesome
Exactly. And it makes pie face Brazil and Wilkins look pretty stupid in their views on the matter. Do they see us as some kind of cute last bastion of the archetypal British small club?5 of the 6 teams to finish in the top 6 had a foreign manager, and we've never had one.
The pool of British managers who are prepared to work as a "head coach" with limited control over transfers is quite limited, so its not surprising that we've gone to the continent to find one.
British managers are dinosaurs who all fancy themselves as the next Alex Ferguson and believe in micro-managing every aspect of the club, but most simply aren't fit to shine his shoes and end up doing silly things like signing a goalkeeper from the A-league or giving a 3.5 year contract to an injured injury prone 30 year old.
We needed to arrive in the 21st century with our structure. If its good enough for Spurs and Pochettino then it should be good enough for Norwich City and whoever. That says it all for me really, we've just sacked a manager who was probably on £600 a week at Hamilton who felt that the same job that Pochettino does was beneath him.
Its no surprise that we felt we needed to appoint from overseas until British managers realise that its the 21st century. Then they have the cheek to moan that British managers don't get the top jobs. Either you manage a top club like Norwich in a modern progressive structure, or you can manage a tinpot club like Hamilton or Accrington Stanley and get to pretend to be Alex Ferguson because they're employer can't afford a sporting director.
I'd personally question why we'd want a British manager at the moment, where are the celebrated up and coming talents? If Alex Neil is the best that Alex Ferguson could recommend then we should 100% recruit from overseas. I don't expect to ever see Alex Neil in the Premier League again, unless its as an assistant manager.
Still waiting for that explanation...OK I'm being a bit of a party pooper but specifically what is it about Farke that should make anyone excited? No one seems to have explained that yet.
