Hopefully we'll hold out for more like £15m. That would do a lot for us at the moment. 

I know it sounds like sour grapes, but I think he'll flop if he plays in the PL this season.

I  agree with all three of the previous posts.  £10m is too cheap, I too would have liked to see him here for another season, no doubt he'll go, money will play it's part, and no I don't think he's anywhere near PL standard yet.  Unfortunately we aren't in a strong position to resist, except he's still on a long contract, and he's a young up and coming English player who in my book is worth more than £10m.  They are buying potential, so they should dig deeper.

If he was a couple years younger then his transfer value would probably be higher. But at 22 he's already getting to the point where buying "potential" is decreasing.

If he wants to go theres no point in stopping him. If he sulks and has a rubbish season then there was no point in making him stay. Really, head over heart, it makes sense to sell now on the back of a great season and tournament. And it makes you wonder a bit if he has pretty much peaked, if the people in the know thought he was going to continue to progress, it would be Man City bidding 25 million for him.

Certainly a few years ago he was the better player, and most people were tipping him to be the better of the two. 

Maybe they just swapped names, I mean we'd never have any way of knowing, would we?

They can naff off for £10 million personally. Doesn't matter if he wants to go or not, he's unlikely to refuse to play etc with his long history at the club etc and as a youngster turning his head back round wouldn't be impossible anyway.

It was definitely the case, not that long ago, that Josh was considered ahead of Jacob. By coaches at the club, not just fans.

Couple of years ago maybe; but there's a reason he held down a starting place majority of last season, attained a decent goal and assist record, and got recognised by the England set-up; whilst Josh mostly sat on a bench.

Josh had Brady in his way last season whereas Jacob had a clear shot following Redmond's departure.

Bit of a funny one as I don't think he's good enough to be playing in the premiership just yet and would benefit from staying here for another season in the championship, yet at the same time with the way the transfer market is at present £10m seems a bit cheap for a young English player, although I've always felt Josh was the more naturally talented of the twins, and certainly is more of a team player than Jacob is, if it is £10m though lets hope we get some good additional clauses in there

Maybe, but in all honesty Jacob has typically looked stronger both on and off the ball and tactically seemed to roughly know how to defend. That's not to say Josh won't be a good player at Championship level next season, I really hope he does. But some fans seem to treat every player we sell with the same thought process "oh he wasn't that good anyway, so and so is better" - which if true, any half decent scout would have picked up and bought the better, less expensive version.

I don't think Jacob's defensive work is one of his selling points. Though I'm not suggesting Josh's is better. 

Realistically I don't think there is much between them or ever will be. Jacob just got the break last season.

The thing is if he's going to the premiership and in particular a side that is likely to finish in the bottom 7 or so he's going to have to make some major improvements to his defensive game, no way a team like Newcastle can carry him in that regards all season, were he going to a better side say Spurs or someone like that he'd have less defending to do and could fully focus on what he does in the opponents half, that just isn't going to happen at Newcastle, particularly in away games when they're likely to be on the back foot for 70% of the game

I have a source that told me Reading offered twice what we paid for Nelson, and the player himself turned the move down. So turns out that clickbaity site was pretty spot on!
