Okay, here's how I see it, based on what we know.

Todd and his girlfriend have split up, Todd thought this was a good reason to miss training, Farke obviously doesn't, saying "Todd isn't 18 any more" ie grow up lad and crack on with your work, seeing it as not a particularly valid reason not to train.

Frankly, I'm with Farke on this one. And Todd is playing for the U23's tonight now, I believe.
Most of us would never have gone to work, if every time we'd broken up with a girlfriend had affected us to that extent.

Do we actually know that? Or is it just a rumour or guess?

Not looking good, I'm not thinking about the scoreline just the setup and tactics etc.

Farke can't do the Premier League

I hope Morty has had ten pints by now, even he would struggle to dig some positives from this performance.

I haven't checked but we might even be bottom of the league now after that result.

From watching on TV, I got the impression that Chelsea players were pressing us with lot's of energy, even when they were well in the lead, yet our players hardly seemed to press Chelsea at all.
Was that as you saw it at the game?

Simply, to a man, they were just much, much better than us.

That's pretty much it really.

Yes, that's a given, but surely pressing and having energy can be done by any professional footballer, they just seemed harder working predominantly, I didn't feel it was their world class talent that shone through as much as their energy and willingness to press.

So almost like they were much, much better players then?

Are you going to tell me that had we pressed Chelsea and "had a go" we would have come off better today?

We sat off and gave them lot's of time to play, I suspect that if we had pressed and shown more energy we would have lost but it wouldn't have been a capitulation.

I see. So you would have been happier with maybe 3 nil?

I've been asking you about the performance rather than the result Morty, I was concerned about the way we played, not particularly the loss.
Thats why I was seeking your opinion as you saw it with your own eyes.

As I said in my first post, nobody played particularly badly, they were just much, much better than us.

But at the end of the day it is hard to look good when it has all gone to ratshit, and you are 3 or 4 down away from home.

Losing away to Chelsea does not define our season.

The glass ceiling has been well and truly hit. There is simply no point Norwich City being in the Premier League. We barely compete against the very worst teams in the division. That’s now 19 games across 2 seasons without a win. It’s all very well saying it was Chelsea but we at least need to be competitive and we were simply not from the very first whistle. Did the squad have any belief before that game? I think not, and that is not acceptable at any level of football.
