I really don't think that Mr Cantwell will be making it big time at a big club, any time soon

Maybe he was already on the "to sell" list for January...
Then surely you'd manage it in a way to maximise his value, the process was diminishing his value and following the pattern set by Farke against previous players.
If it was your 30 million, would you be happy to throw it away?
It just wasn't logical the way he dealt with it.
That's assuming I ignore much of the noise coming from those close to the situation.

Several of the exports haven't done great over the years .... the late, great (and my old mate) Fash, Kevin Reeves, Jamal Lewis, Ruel Fox, Alex Pritchard, Robert Rosario, Dale Gordon, Robert Fleck, Darren Eadie, Emi Buendia (?) .... none of these players, who were pretty good at NCFC, set the world on fire after leaving Carrow Road. Cantwell to be added to that list? Who knows?

Cantwell is our best player. Has to be in the team.

I have read comments by someone who's partner works at the club in a position to know stuff.
Farke didn't like being challenged. As with other players before him, Todd was being frozen out by Farke for no real fault of his own.
Last week Todd was banned from the first team changing room.
This situation involving a multi million pound asset was a topic in Farke's dismissal.
A manager is expected to manage and get the best out of players.
I, for one, am always very suspicious of comments from people who are so-called itk. To say Cantwell was frozen out through no real fault of his own is lies. Just the fact that he's missed so much training alone, would get most players' chucked into the U23s. If he is being as much of an arsehole as it appears then it's not surprising he was banned from the first team changing room. He's not playing so why should he be sulking in there anyway. He's not a multi million pound asset if he's not playing and giving the impression of being "difficult" and he won't be winning friends or influencing managers if he wants a move.

Of course you are suspicious of those comments; you can tell from your tone that you don't like Cantwell and want him being a disruptive influence, with a bad attitude, as the reason for his omission. I think you have a preconceived opinion of Todd as a character (you don't like his hair?/social media posts?; I don't know) and will always jump on the side of him being a bad egg.

Farke has history of banishing players: Leitner, Trybull and Drmic to name just three. Was this because of footballing ability? Probably not. None of us have any idea what goes on behind closed doors at the end of the day, but I honestly think there are some Norwich fans that are gleefully wanting to push Cantwell under the bus.

My personal opinion is that the answer probably lies somewhere in the middle. I certainly think this squad needs someone of Cantwell's ability in it though, and if this was a factor in the sacking then so be it.

Let's face it, with Farke's outstanding record in the Championship, if he was only a mediocre Premier League manager he would still be here.
The way he managed those who challenged him was just one small 'topic' but it was counted as significant by those who make decisions at the club.

What I will say is that have Trybull, Leitner and Drmic gone on to be better elsewhere (playing football at a similar, or higher level) So I suspect that there is a recurring theme there of football players maybe not being quite as good as they think they are.

I know nothing about his attitude, I only know that he reportedly has missed a lot of training, has reported in injured with a variety of injuries that seem to vanish as quickly as they appear, reportedly uses social media (for the record I never look at it) to sometimes communicate with his manager, particularly over the "I'm not injured" incident when DF said publicly he was. I have no opinion re his hair either for or against, I find that remark childish, I have never posted an opinion as I don't have one.

As far as not liking Cantwell, I don't like players who give the impression of being bigger than the club whoever they are. I do agree with Morty that perhaps we have a player who thinks he is better than he is, and that's just my opinion which last time I looked I'm still entitled to, on here anyway.
