Connor Southwell: The inside story on Aarons' summer at Norwich City
Borussia Dortmund's late attempt to convince Norwich City into a loan move for Max Aarons failed, so what next for the right-back?
I can see this happening. The way we now play, when we get the ball wide we sometimes will need a bigger bloke up front if crosses are put inRumours of Hugil coming back from West Brom in January, and Adam Idah going to Nottingham Forest, on loan for the rest of the season.
Hard to decide on this, for me. But getting 10 or 20 minutes every few games isn't going to improve Idah. And I don't think Jordan is anywhere near Premier standard.I can see this happening. Playing regularly will only benefit Idah, obviously we haven't seen anywhere near the best of him.Hard to decide on this, for me. But getting 10 or 20 minutes every few games isn't going to improve Idah. And I don't think Jordan is anywhere near Premier standard.
Sorry but I don't think either are anywhere near PL standard. If we are really going all out to stay up, then someone is going to have to come up with a different master plan.Hard to decide on this, for me. Agree re Idah, but I don't think Pukki is quite finished yet.Playing regularly will only benefit Idah, obviously we haven't seen anywhere near the best of him.
He has potential to be top class, hopefully it'll be with us, we're have to accept that Teemu is in the twilight of his career, he's 31 now.
25 man squad though. I'm not convinced any of those are better than what we have here now, you could maybe make an argument for Drmic, he is performing albeit at a lower level, but I just don't think Hugill and Hernandez are Premier standard.Bring back Hugill, Hernandez and Drmic, keep Idah .... then we would be overrun with striking goodness and not have to buy that really good striker that we desperately need.
That's quite the level to aspire toHi gill does give us something different though, not saying he’s a premier league player but he’s ours and could be the new Wilbraham
If that was the case Idah would start, and as he played more am sure the goals would come. I doubt we'll ever be in the situation where we have a Premier league standard striker just sat about, just in case.Bottom line is, if Teemu gets injured / ill this afternoon, where do goals come from?
Todd has created & scored in the Premier League but not much else in the squad.
Farke had very similar views to Bielsa in that both of them kept playing their favoured players and those on the bench weren't really ready to come on and make a difference. If that was the case Idah would start, and as he played more am sure the goals would come. I doubt we'll ever be in the situation where we have a Premier league standard striker just sat about, just in case.
How many years are we going to keep praising Idah and saying he will come good? Get rid
To be fair to the lad, how many minutes has he actually played to be match fit etc, he's not even played U23 football.Well, some on here have been nagging to have Idah start..................well you've had you're way. Personally I'd be happy if he never plays for us again. Totally useless at this level and the one below.
