Fell asleep at half time and woke up to a 3-0 win!

Is it correct that Redmond scored?

No Tettey and two for Jerome.
Was going to say, this thread suggested Tettey but the BBC reported Redmond!

Goal! Brentford 0, Norwich City 1. Nathan Redmond (Norwich City) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Wes Hoolahan.

Cameron Jerome is an absolute beast of a striker, great goals again, to think that he isn't at full fitness too.

Possibly our main man?

That first goal looked particularly good, we had about 8 players all steaming into the box!

Very possibly so, and I can't say I saw it coming.

Could turn out to be a complete masterstroke, and bargain of the season!

Sky Sports also had Redmond for the goal. Chris Brown's vine videos put the lie to that!  :D

lol, Tettey just said he came close to hitting a guy. Really liking the honesty in his interviews.

What is it that some guy on Canary Call has said?

And yeah, I saw BBC put Redmond as the goal scorer. God knows how they can confuse Tettey and Redmond, they're not remotely similar  :D

From what I can gather he went on a long rant about how great Bassong is and that he should in the team ahead of Turner.

Asides from the idea being objectionable, the timing is just bizarre. We've just won 3-0 and kept a clean sheet.

I don't know how people can bring themselves to call the radio to talk about a game they haven't watched, which is what most of the callers seem to do.

Some people are never pleased  :D

As you say, almost understandable if we'd just lost and Turner had been awful. But we just won 3-0 for goodness sake.

Was at the game tonight. Bit lucky with a penalty desicion that they should have got, but upped our game massively in the second half and deserved the win.

Grabban put a shift in, pulling defenders out wide constantly, creating space for Tettey and Hoolahoop to run into

Am hearing a few people of the opinion that the result flattered us. Is this a fair assessment?

A little, yes.

2-0 would be fair.

3-0 makes it sound comfier than it was. Their young lad Pritchard caused us problems all night, and had they finished better, we would have conceded a couple of goals.

I do find the irony amusing that when we were in the PL and played well against bigger sides people would be upset when on MOTD all the commentators would concentrate on how poor the bigger side was rather than how well we played.

Now we are the big fish our supporters some how expect us to dominate every team over an entire game, whether home or away, and if we don't we are playing *bleep*.

Now admittedly, like most on here I imagine, I could only listen to the game. So maybe we were shockingly terrible over the first 45, but apart from the purple patch of 10 mins or so dominance where Ruddy pulled off some stunning saves by the sound of it, we were competing comfortably with Brentford.

Brentford are doing well and were the home team, I think it's disrespectful personally if over the 90 we don't expect such teams to have their periods of dominance and create chances, it's whether we soak up the pressure in those periods. What is most important imho, is that over the 90 we continue to show our dominance and win games, which is generally what we are doing.

I was at the game and it felt like a good old fashioned cup tie. They played with great intensity in the first half and we contained them without looking unduly threatening going forward.

My feeling was that they could not maintain that level of intensity and so it proved. What I had not really factored in was that we would press further and further up the pitch. It was truly impressive to see how many times we harried their centre backs and keeper into mistakes and several times we forcefully regained possession in dangerous positions.

We were not afraid to go long when needed and Jerome and Grabban both worked tirelessly to make that an effective ploy on the night.

Maybe they were unlucky with the penalty appeal but I still think we would have won because in the last 30 minutes it was if we suddenly had two extra players and really could have scored more.

This was a truly excellent performance in large part because we did not play at our best for long periods and yet it always felt like we could overpower them and would win.

I can't wait for Saturday now!
