I don't think there will be much of a battle.Angus Gunn has yet to play a competitive club game so would expect him to have to battle for the shirt with Rudd, may bring the best out of each other.
I actually rate Rudd and we haven't really tried him at this level, threw him in at the deep end in the Premier League and he now has another full season of football under his belt.
I'd be happy if we went with Rudd + Gunn this season, and sent McGovern packing. Get Remi out on loan, keep Jones as the one who gets battered in training.
I don't believe Gunn would have been allowed to come here on loan to be a bench warmer. Rudd is reported to be for sale, so I see it as Remi and/or Jones as No 2.Angus Gunn has yet to play a competitive club game so would expect him to have to battle for the shirt with Rudd, may bring the best out of each other.

I'd rather him on the bench than Michael McGovern, he was a joke of a signing on a 3 year contract.... looks like he belongs in League Two.Rudd is a poor goalkeeper and we'll be in trouble if he's our number one.
I think I'd rather have a punt on Matthews than either of them.I'd rather him on the bench than Michael McGovern, he was a joke of a signing on a 3 year contract.... looks like he belongs in League Two.
