Ipswich need 12 wins from 26 games, that's currently 12 times their current number of wins.

When you look at the numbers, it's hard to imagine Ipswich getting enough of the wins which they need now and the others around them losing extra games so the scum can catch up.
There's 4 or 5 teams above Ipswich battling to avoid the two relegation slots left, this competition itself should ensure that Ipswich can't catch up and overtake them to safety.

It's not a great sight for Ipswich fans, but if Ipswich were looking for any sign of hope they take a look at Doncaster, who were still bottom for Christmas and with only 18 points 13 losses in 23, but they went on a charge, 13 wins in 23 and secured survival. We won't talk about which teams ended up relegated that season though... I think this shows however that at the bottom, losing can be such a fear that they resign to grinding out draws, when it is actually far better at the bottom to go for it, throw caution to the wind. At the top yes you will have to grind out a few draws to keep the momentum going but at the bottom it just won't cut it, you've got to go for it.

Just checked out Wigan's form, can't believe the stark difference between home and away for them, 21pts at home, 4pts away.

If Ipswich can't get 3 points of Wigan this weekend you have to wonder who can they get 3 points from?
