Well I guess the chat Neil had with him on Monday morning did wonders then!! Risky selling to a rival...hope we get a decent profit out of it. On his day he can be a great player, but he doesnt seem to have his day very often..

Seeing as we paid 2.5m for him, he's a proven goalscorer at Premiership level and now an international. We should be making a significant profit. Bet we wont though. Weren't Liverpool rumoured to have made a 10 figure bid 2 years ago?

What a joke. We paid more than double that when he was a League One player. I know his form has been poor but what mugs we are. Cannot believe this has been sanctioned - to a rival as well. Seriously lost respect for the board/manager if this is true. Why dont we just bend over for the entire league?

Agree GMD, this is a dumb move which could well backfire. I am loosing faith in Adams and the board.

It's interesting that anything the Club says is met with scepticism and disparaging comments but anything some unknown source puts on the web (£1m for Pilks) is automatically treated as gospel and used as reliable evidence to attack the Club.

Perhaps we did sell Pilks for a £1m but I'll wait to have that confirmed and wait to hear the Club's explanation before deciding who to blame and especially before deciding that Adams and or the Club is a joke.

With one year on his contract and not in Adams' plans then it seems a fair price to me. Transfers between Championship clubs (for that is what both Norwich and Cardiff are), will not reach the massive sums Premier League clubs are prepared to pay - fairly obviously.

If no one in the Prem is interested in coming in for Pilks (which I highly doubt they are), then Norwich were always going to struggle to reach a sum much over £1m for him. Who is going to pay £2m for a player who is constantly injured and soon to be free?

While undoubtedly a talented player, he has been in the wilderness for some time and couldn't even force his way into contention when we were fighting the final battles of a relegation season. The fact that successive managers have chosen to virtually freeze him out even when in desperate need of a spark of inspiration seems to speak volumes.

If that is the case and his presence is a disruptive one - as the weekends tweet might be seen to indicate - then getting him off the books and out of the club has to be a positive thing, getting a few quid in the bin too is a bonus.

Not happy at all -to hear rumours of Pilkington- if that price is correct- selling to Cardiff!  Injury record -I know-but a good player-  Seriously hope replacements are in line. -

Not overly bothered about this one. He's been good in a handful of games over the last two years, when he's been fit. How much have we paid him for very little in that period? Way too much. Happy to see him off the payroll. I trust the board to get a good deal for us on this one.

I'm more worried about the seeming lack of activity in bringing people in. We need a signing that will galvanise the players and fans alike.
