Good read Mr Numan. Sensible points made. Have you left the cars now? Great band

Hasn't this been already explained? We had to wait until the price was right, or until players were available.

Also the lack of pre season could hardly be blamed on anyone?
You and I don't know if that's the complete truth or just a convenient thing for Farke to say at a press conference.
Facts show that we achieved promotion months ago, long before the transfer window opened yet we didn't bring in Normann & Kabak til long after the start of the season, and here we are shortly into November and they're still not match fit.

You know as well as I, all clubs use the media to suit themselves, 'the whole truth and nothing but the truth' isn't allowed to get in the way of the narrative a club wants to project.
So what do you think isn't truthful about "We had to wait until players were available, or the price was right" then? Bearing in mind we all know we don't have much money, and absolutely everyone knows this? Its not like we are minted, but pretending to be broke, is it?

We used enough money to buy several club record? attacking midfielders pretty quickly, then appeared to be trying to get a defensive midfielder and a defender on the cheap, which made for a hugely protracted process which should have been sorted first but actually dragged on til several games into the season.
So these players, key players for survival in the Premier League, arrived a few games in, then required weeks to build up fitness.
At present we AGAIN have a vast collection of attacking midfielders who can't get in the match day squad let alone the first team.
It's like spending most of your money on cigarettes & alcohol, then complaining that the food prices are too high.

So, just to recap, "We had to wait until players were available, or the price was right" pretty much covers it, yeah?

Good point, it's not like we had a whole pre season to sort it out or anything. Or indeed during the closing stages of the Championship season where it was pretty obvious we were going up

Do you not understand what "We had to wait until players were available, or the price was right" means? Isn't it fairly self explanatory?
No need to be aggressive. Thank you.

It isn't self explanatory why these players weren't brought in earlier...

Was the transfer window even open during the closing stages of the championship season ? There are a few sticks to beat the club with at the moment but implying that players were just waiting to join us and it was us that delayed everything isn’t correct.

The transfer window doesn't need to be open for us to sign players. We have announced several outside of the window that have officially joined when window reopened...

It seems remarkably 'unlucky' that we managed to sign all sorts of attacking midfielders and a goal keeper early, but not reinforce the positions we actually needed.
Just as it has been unlucky since Farke arrived.
The window relates to registering players, not doing the work behind the scenes.
There were instances of us bidding for players who then signed for different clubs for a small amount more.
It may well be unlucky.

It's almost like we are in a difficult starting position, due to being financially behind everyone else...

Seriously Morty, consider how many millions worth of attacking midfielders are sat on the bench, including loan rees sat on the bench.
We've spent plenty this summer but in my opinion not prioritised it correctly.

And you are entitled to that opinion. But back to the actual point being made regarding why we struggle to get players in, well its hardly a mystery, is it?

We don't seem to have trouble getting players in, we've signed a whole new team.
My gripe is that historically, Farke has spent his pocket money stockpiling attacking midfielders when we've desperately needed defensive midfielders and centre backs.
This summer has run true to the pattern, although we've brought in Normann and Kabak, it looked like an after thought when they should have been first in the building.
We knew about promotion months ago and managed to find millions buying players who are warming the bench (if they can get in the squad that is)
