I'll be on both forums. I tended to hang out in non football on there more anyway as it seemed less full of anger (if you avoided the politics!) and miss the randomness. It may have mean non football but I was talking with people who had at least something in common.
Still hoping that negotiations are underway for a transfer of Ricardo's match reports to here. Could be footballs biggest shake up since the abolishment of the maximum wage!

But honestly, I understand people's loyalty to the other forum, I was there for many years myself. Its been nice to have a few more people around here for a while, hopefully dispelling a few myths about this place.

Yeah my thoughts. They threw the baby out with the bathwater. A lot of good interaction and plenty of humour. The politics got heated (as it does in life) which I haven't missed but you got a great understanding from very well informed posters on international affairs, even those views you wouldn't normally agree with. It broadened my mind. Never a bad thing as you get older rather than the usual hardening of a position or becoming too fixed.
Agree about the sheer randomness and breadth of subjects. A real miss and it's lost some soul. The football side (even tonight) is so often just a playing out of dislikes from a few posters. It's tiresome. It doesn't feel like this here but just quite chilled and 'normal'.

I said from the start of this place that people should leave their pinkun grudges at the door. Like you say, tiresome. People somehow saw this as me being some kind of control freak, but the same men having the same argument for ten years wore thin long ago.

Just like to say, from my perch in feral Romania, It's been nice having all the new members on here, I've enjoyed your thoughts and reports.
