The club probably thinks a goal cam at the Barclay end wouldn't be good value!
Ha, they put one there every game, don't think I have ever seen a video published from it though!

Read somewhere the goal spilt is 6 (5 1st half, 1 2nd half) to the Barclay, 16 (1 1st half, 15 2nd half) to the River End.

Blimey, thats not even close. The board needs to sort this out.

Lol, I blame Adams!

The tenancy to kick towards the River End 2nd half (8 games vs 3 towards the Barclay) seems to compound the stat!

I'm sure there were more goals at the Barclay under Lambert ;)

No, this is an urban myth. I only remember the one by Jackson in the 96th minute, if only because the young lady next to me planted a big kiss on my lips after! ;-)

Haha, I don't think I have ever celebrated a goal harder than that one. Happy days.

does the pitch still slope down towards the river?   together with the sun in the keepers eyes in the first half at this time of the season suggests attacking barclay first half and river end second has some merit.

Still a hugely disproportionate stat - mind you the starting line up on sat was not likely to score many...

I've played on it a few times and it doesn't seem that way. I'm pretty sure at the end of the 03/04 season the whole thing was dug up and flattened out, when the mix of astro and grass was put in.

When I was a kid Owen Field at the University of Oklahoma had a three foot crown down the middle of the field.  Back then the Sooner ran a wishbone and so the backs were running downhill as they swept around the end.  In the mid-90s they tore out the old Astroturf carpet (that got torn when the Sooner Schooner rolled over celebrating a touchdown, and had the NY Jets logo painted in the south end zone from when they were filming the Dennis Byrd movie) and replaced it with grass, and now I think the crown is maybe a foot to ease drainage.
