Most footballers are morons, Ryan Bennett being the prime twitter cretin from Norwich, had a row with him trying to say I was thick by using the word two instead of too, not once or twice, 3 times!!

I reckon Ruddy said it, tbh i chuckled when he put it.

I can remember the earthquake that happened in the midlands.  I posted  and it did 500K worth of improvemnts. I got slated abused and almost assaulted  (I hit him first lolol)

a few days later a comedian posted exactly the same as I did and  got told it was a great joke or words to that effect..    it is all about nothing at the end of the day

As much as I love John Ruddy, the old 'I was hacked' excuse is a bit soft. There would've been a lot less hate had he just stuck by it.

It's making something out of nothing really. It's simply because it's a footballer who's tweeted it that people have gone out of their way to try and find it offensive. If it was a comedian like Frankie Boyle then no-one would bat an eyelid, and most people would find it hilarious.

So much fuss of a humorous comment probably made without knowing how seriously injured the people were - wther his account was hacked or not.   Move on

His claims of hacking are a bit embarressing, think he'd of been better off just deleting the tweet and then saying nothing at all.

If somebody had really managed to hack John Ruddy's twitter they'd have a lot more fun with it, like a post saying he had signed for Arsenal, or started a twitter fight with Joey Barton :D

I was thinking the same about Frankie Boyle, although I suspect even he would think it was a bit too soon for that joke?

And you'd have thought that a footballer would be a lot more sympathetic to four people having their legs smashed to pieces, considering how important legs are to footballers.

But no reason to see it for anything other than what it was, which was a very badly timed joke which should have been saved for the pub.

I just think far too many people forget exactly what Twitter is. They forget how many people can see what they have put (often bluntly due to the character restriction) and due to screenshots its evidence of your 'true colours' or 'what you're really thinking' to hit you over the head with for the rest of your life.

Everyone famous who uses it needs to realise you just cant use it casually.

I feel a bit sorry for John Ruddy, he has to tell his kids that they aren't going to Alton Towers anymore

It will blow over within a couple of weeks I reckon, people will soon find something else to be outraged by, probably another Katie Hopkins tweet.

I dunno. Anyone with an agenda. There are things from years back still doing the rounds on Twitter because it serves someones agenda. Once its screen-shot its unretractable. Bit like Michelle Keegans boobs on instagram!

I think this one will be fine, that joke really wasn't THAT offensive.
