But not for us. Just joined Sheff Wed on loan till January.
Not a surprise. Hope it goes well there for him, either so we can sell him for decent money in January or he can come back fitter and in form.

With Lafferty wanting out and Grabban out of favour it looks like we may be in the market for a striker ourselves in January. Possibly back in for Dwight Gayle?

Gayle would be just as useless as Hooper, unless Neil wants to mix up formations a bit.

He'd bring some pace to our squad.

We have to be realistic about who we'd be able to sign if we're in a relegation fight come January, Gayle would be one we could take down with us.

Plus Hooper clearly just doesn't want to be here, and perhaps Gayle might.

I can't quite read what is in AN's mind about strikers. We are basically left with Mbokani, Jerome and Grabban. I can't really see Lafferty figuring.

It looks to me with those three remaining that we are never going to go with two up front unless we are losing with 20 minutes to go. Unless someone plays out of position.

And of course, if Wednesday play Hooper tonight, he will be cup tied should we make progress ourselves.

The same back 5 which kept a clean sheet against West Brom.

Well that was well worth watching. No we didn't score but I was more than happy with Mulumbu's debut and VOO's contribution. I just wish Redmond, one on one would back himself. Get into the box and you might get a penalty. And Grabban doesn't carry the same physical threat. But all in all we are the superior side at the moment and look two yards quicker than Saturday.

1-0 up with about 30 minutes to go, Bassong with the goal, could we be on our way back to wembley?

looks like I spoke to soon, Osman 1-1, sounding like Everton on top now

I'm afraid Grabban should have buried that header. Robles made it look a better save than it was. My French commentator was orgasming about it but it should have been the second.

agree with that, was a good save, but in reality Grabban should of buried it

He should have made the 'keeper work harder to save it.

I'm afraid this is now being played at 75% effort. Why worry about Saturday? Finish this one first,

Not the first time Jarvis isn't picked out when bursting forward into space.

Nails will be down to the quick after this shoot out.

I see Bill Bailey's tour bus was nicked in Liverpool. Lets hope our supporters have one to go home in.

Poor penalty from Redderz. Leaning back, opened his body up.

Not great from Wes either, quite clear where it was going.

Redmond was the real disappointment for me tonight. Crossing was awful, never really took his man on with any conviction and I hope I can hit my sand wedge as good as that penalty tomorrow morning.

Apart from that, I was pleased and enjoyed our performance. Some good stuff from the debutants.
