Mbokani is a yard slow on every pass to him. Unless it is in the air, he isn't doing a thing.

Got through to half time at 0-0, but to be fair since the O'Neil red stoke haven't really looked like capatalising on it, but I expect them to come out firing in the second half

We played very well with 11 and with 10. Hopefuly we wont tire too much and keep them away from to goalscoring chances as thus far. Outside of O'Neal everyone has filled their slots. Mbokani was a bit slow to react with 11 players, but good hold up games at the end of first half. Mayby Jerome could do a bit more after 60 minutes. Also even thought almost our every good pass went trough Hoolahan we could do a bit more threat on second half. Wouldn't change straight, but as said at 60 minute mark bring Jerome and Jarvis/Redmond to bring us some legs there. Third sub could be Mulumbu for VOO. Our midfield have to work so hard so getting some fresh legs there and moving Howson to position where he can be a bit more straightforward again would be benefical.

Anyway we are still pretty much in the game and can get at least 1 point from this if we just keep running.

What the f*ck was Gary O'Neil thinking? Ridiculous challenge to make when there was absolutely no danger, and it could well cost us. Idiotic thing to do by such an experienced player.

It's a shame because we were playing well before the red card. We were playing some really nice football, looked threatening going forward and relatively solid at the back. Now we're just going to be holding on to our clean sheet, and it is a real uphill struggle to get a point now. One silver lining though is that if we can keep it goal-less until the 65/70 minute mark, we have pacey options on the bench such as Redmond, Jarvis and Jerome to offer real pace on the counter attack. I think though at half time I'd take Wes off (I can't see him being too effective now he's been moved out to the left) and bring Olsson on at left back and move Brady up, just to give us that little bit more defensive solidarity, as well as pace down our left hand side.

1-0 Stoke, Walters at the back post from a ball from the left, they've been attacking that side the whole match and its finally paid off for them

definitely looking to break with pace now, Redmond and Jarvis need to make sure they do the defensive work too though

Too bad. I think AN made a mistake by bringing both Redmond and Jarvis same time, not that goal was either fault, but our packet got a bit loose
