Turner/Ollson have been responsible for two goals conceded recently, which cost us points. Martin and Whittaker currently doing well for Scotland. Rudd needs a game. Cuellar is ok at CB. So is Garrido at left back. Jerome will not score mountains of goals imo - he is good but not consistent enough. His career record shows that. However, I hope he proves me wrong - and Lafferty hasn't had a chance up front from the start of a game. Lets face it, what has gone on in the last few games hasn't exactly seen our best players shining! I think they need a good shake up!LDC, interesting.
No place for the best defender, nor both of the top scorers, nor the 'keeper.
I don't think that's the way to go.
I agree, it's not like Turner has been faultless but he is playing on his unfavoured left side in order to accommodate Martin. If you want to build something in this league you need Turner as your first choice CB, not Martin.Turner/Ollson have been responsible for two goals conceded recently, which cost us points. Appreciate that you have a little geographic difficulty Splutcho. Not quite so acute up here in the north of the county! But yep would be better if we won this one.If we lose I can't go into work for a week, so we'd better pull our *bleep* fingers out.
Whittaker starting, Martin at CB, dropping Ruddy, Turner & Jerome and starting Murphy? That's an incredibly puzzling selection.Rudd
Whittaker Martin Cuellar Garrido
Redmond Tettey O'Neill Howson Murphy
Lafferty
451, aka 433. Lafferty up front. Give Rudd a go too.
Whittaker and Martin are underated imo and the defensive woes have been more down to midfield indiscipline imo. Turner has contribute with a couple of mistakes recently and I like Cuellar and Garrido. Rudd deserves a game or two after such a good season last season, no disparagity to Ruddy intended. Jerome is not a prolific striker - never has been. He will score a few then not score a few imo and needs managing well, so I would give Lafferty the chance to stake a claim - we haven't seen him at his best yet and with a bit of luck he will start scoring a few goals - he's been unlucky so far and could have had two or three before now. I also think Murphy could be given a few starts so he gets used to the pace of a game from the off.Whittaker starting, Martin at CB, dropping Ruddy, Turner & Jerome and starting Murphy? That's an incredibly puzzling selection.
