Not sure if it was the foul or having a go at the ref after?

Just a second yellow for bringing him down. His bad reaction probably didn't help, blew any chance there was of the ref showing leniency.
Based on BJ's reactions following a challenge, I dont htink he thinks he's ever fouled anyone in his life! Are we sure he knows the rules? Would explain a lot

That was a total shambles. That was not a performance from a side whose manager has things under control. Time's ticking.

Why do we insist on playing Bradley Johnson? I don't know if he's selfish or just pig sh*t thick, but I'm getting pretty tired of him. The only positive from today is that he can't play in the next game.

Grabban and BJ looked very good at this level at the start of the season, but its been a while since I've seen a good game from either of them. But there they are every week

I cannot believe that he let the game slip away by not making changes. That is why I have lost patience with him. Once is a mistake but twice is incompetence.

But that doesn't hide the fact that it was a poor game lit up by Martin's goal and, once again, missed chances. No pattern, no build up of momentum, no reason to think we will turn this around without a major change.

PS. On the Brighton version of Canaryplayer, they predicted 3-3 before the start.

Surely Adams' position is untenable now?
In the eyes of everyone except the board, who will probably cling to every little piece of hope until relegation starts to look more likely than promotion.

All I want is a manager who uses conventional wide midfielders, isn't too proud to use a 4-4-2, is happy to grind out a scrappy 1-0 if the odds are stacked against you, and understands that you can't just adopt Kevin Keegan gung-ho style of football every week, gambling on whether you can come out with a 3-2 instead of a 2-3.

Complete lack of discipline in our squad. I think this season is the result of arrogance. We thought that we were better than we were. How else can you explain a club which ships out all of its wide midfielders (Surman, Bennett, Pilkington, Snodgrass) and thinks their players are so good that we can effectively play 4 strikers every week and assume that your full backs don't need any protection.

Fancy that hey? A former Norwich City wide midfielder who doesn't think that Norwich City needs to possess any wide midfielders. I sensed a bit of over-confidence in the summer actually, from both the club and the supporters. We were talking about automatic promotion before we'd even kicked a ball.

We made a big mistake this summer, and that mistake is simply our failure to appoint a manager who already knows how difficult it is to get out of this league, preferably one who had already done it (as a manager, not as a player). We had options. We could have had Warnock. We could have pinched Mick McCarthy (probably couldn't now).

We took a punt on a youth coach in one of the most important seasons in our modern history. We've wrecked our season in the process. I'd suggest the club show the required humility to acknowledge their mistake, appoint his successor, and give that successor six months to start building the team which has to take us up next season, before our parachute payments finish.

The best chance that we have of building a settled squad for next season is to give a new manager an extra transfer window (January). I'm writing this season off, but if any new manager could squeeze us into 6th place then that would be a bonus.

Agreed with everything apart from Warnock. Wouldn't want that berk anywhere near our club.

O dear, what a waste of time, shouldn't be chasing a game at home what the hell is going on we'll be lucky if we get promoted at this rate we're becoming the laughing stock in this league and I bet the village team down the A140 can't believe what's going on I certainly can't!

Just back in so haven't read other's thoughts but here are mine...

Russell Martin is a poor defender. Out of position so often and leaves us wide open.

We backed off from too many situations and allowed them to play through us.

Slow attacking all first half. Pedestrian and easy to defend against.

Johnson is a disgrace. Selfish. At 2-1 should have been put to bed, but he has a pot shot from 25 yards when we were 3 on 1 with the defender, and the other two in space which almost certainly would have led to an easy 1 on 1 with the keeper. Then gets sent off for a push. What an idiot.

The changes were too late. O'Neill should have been on for Johnson at 2-1, along with Hooper for Grabban.

We are so weakly organised defensively it is an embarrassment. Midfield are pulled all over the place as a result removing the attacking impetus most of the time.

And so on...

I'm annoyed and am going for a meal so finishing now but just have to say that I hope Mike Phelan is bloody good because we need him to work his magic.

The Mike Phelan thing shows the board have already decided to stick with Adams for the time being no matter what. It wasn't his own personal decision but would have been made in consultation with those higher up. Maybe they're grooming him as Adam's successor when we get to January and we've already blown our chance of promotion.

I know that people are impressed by our ability attract Phelan to the club as a coach, I am too, as a coach (or assistant) it is a major coup.

But is giving another man his first managerial job really the answer? Giving former Norwich players there first managerial job didn't work with Peter Grant, didn't work with Bryan Gunn, isn't working with Adams, didn't work with Gary Megson, didn't work with John Deehan.

Being a great coach and being a great manager are two different things, and being the assistant to Alex Ferguson during a successful period doesn't automatically make you a good manager. Blackburn tried that when they appointed Brian Kidd. He never got another managers job again!

It is about time we identified some talent from a lesser club and used our money and power to steal him, tapping him up if we have to. A club our size doesn't need to give people work experience or rely on recycled managers, who can we steal from League One?

So frustrating again and it won't get better until Adams has gone. But this board won't do it and we continue with poor decision making again. Poor line up with useless Grabban played instead of Hooper and O Neil dropped for equally useless Johnson ( at least he won't be picked next week!).

Here's a time line,

Last season City get beat 4-0 by Man Utd in league cup and then thrashes by Man City 7-0 Worst Orem result fur us but no sacking of manager.

Christmas comes and goals scores a problem alongside creativity. We did not remedy either.

West Brom , must win game we lose and manager gets sacked with 5 games to go. Whilst many celebrate, many also query timing.

Adams appointed and City do not survive relegation, gaining 1 point.

The debacle of choosing a "manager" scouring Europe leads to unproven and inexperienced Adams being appointed.

Decent start for City deteriorates to mid table mediocrity and still Adams remains. Phelan brought in to apease fans.

Throughout the above poor decisions by our board throughout. It's cost us our Prem place, massive incone and now getting back to the Prem at first asking looks remote.

Nothing will change until we stop the small club mentality. If they wanted the Norwch City way back well we certainly have it now!

Wonder if Sir Alex would be interested in half a season with us?

I couldn't agree with CanaryBoy's posts more. Let's put it simply - Adams is a poor football manager. His leadership skills are sadly lacking. He increasingly looks like he's guessing from week to week rather than having a clear plan. His determination to persist with a mediocre striker he bought while a better one sits on the bench is a clear sign of weakness. Perhaps he's a decent coach, who knows. I doubt it myself. But to keep a complete amateur in charge (who will never get another managerial post when his time is up) while other more proven managers are out of work will prove to be a costly mistake. Over to you Mr McNally - presuming that Adams won't do the decent thing and resign.

Two things are relevant here. Firstly, one man can make a recommendation to change, however, ultimately, it is a decision of the whole board as to whether to make a change or not. Secondly, it's unrealistic to expect an immediate change.
