What a shame we cant put Ricky on for the last 25 minutes. With Sunderland playing like this even he might get on the scoresheet. Cannot believe how bad Sunderland are

This win may do us the world of good in the transfer market, assuming we don't have a late implode of course!

Wondered if we'd get our clean sheet from Ruddy in FPL. Bugger

funny how we concede once we take off some attacking players off for some ball winners to tighten things up
I think we began to look tired, its also a shame we didn't have another pacy wide player on the bench to replace Redmond and then really stretching out the play instead of continuing to try and play through the middle when we were already 3-0 up. Their left back looks like a complete liability and Billy Jones at right back looked like he had a hangover (probably did, its Sunderland after all),definitely think we could have finished them off nicely if we'd had somebody to come on as a like-for-like against their tired (and crap) full backs.

Then again, Brady won't be playing left back when Olsson returns, so perhaps we do have that player.

Looked more like a training exercise at times. I can understand being cautious but we could've won that by more.

That went well!

As great as we were, they were truly awful, I can see them being in real trouble this season.

Sunderland seem to have a knack of making a January managerial change which miraculously sees them gain enough points to stay up, but if Adam Johnson is convicted I seriously struggle to see how they can do it this time.

Selling Connor Wickham but giving Danny Graham minutes is bizarre.

Good performance from us but made to look better than it was overall due to Sunderland's complete inability to play football for most of the game!

Thought Wes was excellent today and Brady put in a good shift as well, but yet another very mediocre game from Grabban who on current form should arguably be behind RvW in the selection stakes...

I would say particularly Jerome as he has consistently delivered for us. Redmond hasn't proved that consistency yet so I would still hold him back as an impact sub.
2 games, 2 goals. Lets hope he keeps the consistency!

Great game today, really bossed it. We absolutely cannot go into the rest of the season with Grabban as 2nd choice forward, though. Jerome is the only viable option we have at the moment.

Don't Sunderland do this every year though? They'll sack the manager at some point (perhaps tonight) and they'll turn it round - just. Thats one of the worst performances I've ever seen at Premier League level. As good as we were it makes you wonder what a team like Man City would have done to them. Could have been a Premier League record. Hard to see why they were so bad. That wasnt a line up full of boys (indeed the young lad they put on showed the established pro's up) yet Kaboul and Coates looked nervous and all over the place. Van Aanholt at left back was shockingly bad. Clearly didnt give a sh*t. Pantimillon looked hopeless too. Although he made a great stop from Brady his goalkeeping was altoghter questionable. A midfield of M'Vila Cattermole and Larsson should have been smashing players everywhere, yet they were all over the place. Defoe had no presence at all. Who do you blame for that? For the whole team to be simultaneously bad something must be seriously wrong. But van Aanholt, if I was his manager he'd never play for me again after that display - no effort whatsoever. Its like they dont want Advocaat and are engineering his exit.

The manager will get the blame but every one of those players (bar perhaps the young lad Watmore) needs to have a good hard look at themselves after what they just served up.

They should all chip in to refund the fans.

Still, no matter how bad they were we still had to put them to bed and a poorer team might still not have come away with the points. We were excellent and exploited all of the weakness before us like a cat playing with a wounded animal. Shame about the clean sheet, but the scoreline really does flatter them.

Wouldnt be surprised if Advocaat was gone before their next game.

Agreed, Grabban looked very sluggish and at times not that interested. Didnt look like a player fighting for his place or a striker who had smelled blood

Lets hope we can get him signed up to a new deal, because next summer we may have a Sterling situation on our hands.

Difficult to believe that we haven't been trying to get him tied down, with Howson signing a new four year deal recently.
