Well, I've done the rounds. Used to post on the old 606 forum, did some time on not606. Been out of the game a while but I'll see what this site has to offer. Wonder if anyone recognises me from back in the day...

I don't understand why the two sites can't co-exist, the analogy of a "new pub" is a good one, Some will stick to their local and *bleep* the new place off, some will dip into both for a bit of variety, and some will move to the new pub because they've got clean carpets, new fixtures and fittings, and people on the door.
If this means the old local gets a refit to keep up with the competition, then everybody wins - don't they?
NB: no risks taken with the swear filter, I see!

Amused to see that there is now a thread entitled "That other place" on the PU now.
Of course, it really shouldn't be about "us & them" type postings.
The reality is that this site was born out of the frustrations arising from the Pink Un site and someone having the balls and wherewithal to do something about it.
The fact that many posters have migrated proves that there was a need. And, if it causes the original MB to "up their game" is that necessarily a bad thing?

I enjoy both plenty of fans of the club to keep both going. Poor old Morty getting some stick on the pinkun at the moment. Just waiting for him to go over and defend his honour!

Been very interesting to read that thread. I have never posted on the Pink Un but do read it. There are some excellent posters there, but I gave been put off by the intolerance of views ( sone you can see in that thread) I have been a Not 606 poster ( and still am) as things have been much more tolerant of views on there but even having said that there is the odd clash.I have no doubt issues will a arise on here if things start not going to plan football wise but with sensible moderation and tolerance of views it hopefully will be OK.
Plenty of room for many forums and choice is a wonderful thing to have. Who's up for a beer?
