Towards the end of last season the ground around me was poisonous, I really don't want to see that return this year. Unfortunately there are a few fans who can't wait to be in the I told you so brigade regarding Adams not having enough experience etc.
Nothing to 100% guarantee it, but sure I read the flight was delayed yesterday so he was due to flight out this morning instead. So I'd expect an announcement in the next 6-12 hours.
Well apparently he was there on Friday, then had to come back to Norwich to arrange a few things and was scheduled to fly out on Monday, but now flew out today instead.
I think someone mentioned earlier in this thread, the fee we are giving them is if nobody else comes in for him. So say he is superb in France, they can have him for whatever the fee is, just over £4 mill as long as nobody offers more. However if he is fantastic, and someone offers £6-8 million, then we can accept that instead. That would make more sense to me. No idea if it is true or not.
Would be interested to know what the standard practice is with deals like this. When it's termed as 'a season-long loan with an option to buy', one would assume that the purchase option is agreed between the two clubs and is then either activated or not activated depending on the wishes of the purchasing club. There would be no point in St Etienne taking a 'first refusal' if we could then bump the price up if he has a good season. These deals seem pretty much exclusive to either unhappy or underperforming players; a chance for St Etienne to get a bargain, but still a decent fee for us based on what he's worth right now, plus the fact his (substantial) wages are off the bill.

I'm not entirely sure whether that is because I created a Norwich City forum, or because stated on here that I wasn't a fan of an article that he happened to write approximately one third of, but I find it bizarre either way.
