Back in January time I heard something about Bradley Dack from Blackburn. But it seems unlikely, especially with them on the way up.

I think generally speaking we're a little reliant on what happens with Martin, Naismith and Jarvis. With all 3 under contract we can't guarantee someone will take them off our hands.

If they do, that give us a bit more flexibility. If we can't, then like GJP says I would expect us to be looking to sell anyone who's gained some reasonable interest - any of Klose, Pinto, Maddison, Murphy, Oliveira you would suspect.

Worth noting the transfer market isn't an easy job for Webber - it's not like he's come into a championship club with a championship wage bill. He's come into a championship club with a half premier league wage bill - so balancing that alongside new signings is probably why he initially send it'll take 3 or 4 transfer windows to get the squad he wants.

Reality is, were we, for example, to sell Maddison, Murphy and Oliveira and lose our opening 3 fixtures next season then the entire project could easily be destroyed because the fans will simply not put up with it. So they have to balance the books whilst creating a bit of optimism for the new season. Not particularly easy.

I'm not so sure Murphy will go, if Webber plays hardball enough with the Maddison transfer, then that buys us some leeway. As much as I like Pinto, I think we can do better for a lot less money. I think we could struggle to offload Oliviera unfortunately. Jarvis will see out his contract, and we will just have to take a hit on Martin and Naismith unfortunately.

Not sure that we can do better than Pinto. And he's had a tough ask on that right side this season.

But yes, can imagine there is someone out there who is cheaper to run and can do a good job.

I guess it's fairly nailed on that Maddison will be moving to a Premier League club this summer, I just hope we hold out for a good deal and maybe if it's one of the bigger clubs then there is a slim chance we can do a deal where he comes back to us on loan for a season

Its an odd one for me. Its obvious he has talent, but it is unproven in the Premiership. And a small or medium club certainly wouldn't spend 25m on a player that might not start, or one they would loan back. So that only really leaves the big clubs, but you then have to question would Maddison command a starting place at Liverpool, Spurs or Man City? I guess it is an option to loan him back, but you still don't find out if he can hack the Prem, so a more likely option would be that they loan him to a lower placed Prem club.

Yeah there doesn't appear to be any benefit to anyone in loaning him back to us.

The only way I could see it happening is if we take a lower fee than the £25m sorta figure on the basis that he stays here for another year. You can have £25m "now" and you say bye to him or we give you £15m but he stays on loan for a year.

I'm calling an undisclosed amount, up front (probably 18 or 19 million) to Leicester now. With a heavy sell on clause.

Its a pity Everton don't have any money left!

I can't see any of the promoted sides splashing the cash for him.

I see Wolves and Villa as already fairly strong, and suspect that they will go down the route of adding some Premiership nous in a few positions.
