I don't think there's anything wrong with what he's saying but he didn't caveat it particularly well.
Yes, first half against Bolton we were very good in my opinion. But there's been lots of games where we've been very poor, and it's the culmination of them which results in fans then not seeing the Bolton performance as good, particularly when we don't get a win from it.
I've enjoyed some of the home games this season that other's haven't but I can completely understand those who haven't. We've been really, really lacking in goals and at the end of the day that's what matters.
And that's the crux too - the playing style doesn't matter. People are bemoaning it but it's only because we've not scored goals. Had we taken 3 of our chances against Bolton we'd have everyone calling that the blue print for how we need to play. Likewise if we hoof it to Oliviera and Srbeny for 90 minutes next week but win 3-0 that'll be how we should play. But it's understandable that people will criticise with our current goal tally.
Yes. There was a slight bit of Stu looking around for a straw to clutch.I think its quite telling that in response to fans that are unhappy with the football we are playing he has to go back in time 6 weeks to find a good 45 minutes of football as a counter argument personally. Especially as Bolton are a shit team and we still couldn't beat them.
Forgot to say, the bit about Rob Butler doesn’t surprise me at all, he’s very full of himself isn’t he ?
However, he also pointed out that the players were disappointed by the lack of atmosphere at Carrow Road
Yes, no idea who though. I wonder if its Toni Leistner who we nearly bought in the summer, as a Klose replacement? Pure speculation on my part though.
However, this is interesting
