I'm getting a quote for new windows and doors tomorrow. I hate dealing with people like this. I have worked in the industry many years ago, and it is full of scumbags.
Morty, did you find a window company you think you can trust ?

I went with Amber. A few neighbours had used them and found them decent. I probably could have got slightly cheaper but previous experience has shown me that sometimes its better to pay a bit more.

The guy that came was okay, and there was no nonsense. I basically couldn't be bothered getting more quotes as hate the process.

Deposit paid, final measure up next week, will probably get them fitted next time I'm home, in May, when the weather is a bit better.

I bought some slippers today (a very rare event) and told Mrs S that I thought that they would last me 10 years. Her response was that perhaps I was getting to the point where certain purchases now might live longer than I would!
Wise words from her (as ever...she is the best thing about me after all) but I really hope she's wrong. I'm going to try and 'enjoy' them more.

Never take them off, wear the b***ards (or your knees) out in 6 months just to prove her wrong

Thing is, do you wear them when you pop outside? I get into quite a bit of trouble for putting the bins out in my slippers

Why do very wealthy " celebrities" appear on adverts ? Jürgen Klopp is a multi millionaire but here he is on the Trivago ad.
Someone said: " do it or else" or they don't know what money is anymore and it is just to pass the time of day
