So, I guess today is the day when our CEO contacts the CEO's and Chairman of those clubs of the players we want to sign, who told him, no "promised him" just a week or so ago that it would be "a formality once the window opens", and the players had already committed that "Norwich City is their first choice of club".........and is told........aaah, we now have a few other offers from bigger clubs.........oh, and also need a couple of extra million for him if you are to make the signing......and then the big fat agent with a large cuban dangling from his lip chips in with...."my player really wants to play for a club in a big City and I dont think you realise just how good he is, take another look at the video and get back to me, but there is this lad at Chesterfield you may like, reminds me of a younger Grant Holt " blah blah blah!  Well something like that anyway........

Following the summer transfer circus i promised myself I would not get drawn into the mass hysteria again. But my willpower is fading - its the usual stories of Italian internationals that tips me from rational expectations to delusion. Then we make some great signings like Brady and mbokani and Jarvis and I find myself equally irrationally disappointed.

As an amusing aside. on SSN they asked a little lad what Arsenal's transfer targets should be and he said "Messi, Ronaldo and Cameron Jerome".

Perhaps even more amusing was the reporter saying he doubted Norwich would let Jerome go. So Messi and Ronaldo are available then.

Let's restrict to Brazil, arg, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Portugal, England.  I can only think of one but you guys have much better ncfc knowledge than me

Thomas Helveg is the only one that springs to mind. Oh, and Olsson, was he an international when we signed him?
