In fairness the calls for Becchio came when he really couldn't do any worse than those on the pitch at the time.although, of course, we are seeing exactly the same process with Lafferty.
Yes, I feel the same. Anyone know what the price might be? He's become a bit of an unknown quantity this season. I remember him destroying us at CR last season; he was AWOL in the playoffs, but was carrying an injury I think. We're apparently interested in signing Patrick Bamford in a perminant deal from Chelsea. Don't really know how to feel about that. If it's the choice of him or not bringing a striker in at all this month then I'd rather we bought him in, but at the same time I'd sooner we looked elsewhere to be honest.
I have heard wild speculation of up to 10 million!Yes, I feel the same. Anyone know what the price might be? He's become a bit of an unknown quantity this season. I remember him destroying us at CR last season; he was AWOL in the playoffs, but was carrying an injury I think.
Well, we've had a player that was a big hit at FC Utrecht and didn't amount to much in Norfolk before...Alex Neil said in the presser that interest in Sebastian Haller pretty much done. And he can't understand why anyone would choose playing in the Europe league on a Thursday night over playing in the Premier league.
Sounds like maybe Haller thinks he is too good for us, and trying to stir up interest somewhere else.Well, we've had a player that was a big hit at FC Utrecht and didn't amount to much in Norfolk before...
Questioning the players motivation? that a biting comment and confirms he wont be coming here. Clearly hoping for a bigger club. good luck to him & next.Alex Neil said in the presser that interest in Sebastian Haller pretty much done. I wonder though if a loan with a buy price agreed pre loan could well be the way forward here. I guess its up to Alex Neil, and how much he really rates Bamford.Questioning the players motivation? that a biting comment and confirms he wont be coming here. Great to hear that we are still looking at a couple of deals.
Re Bamford given his age he probably is worth £2m more than Grabban so who knows - can only wait and see.
I would see Rhodes as more of a gamble, if he was really good enough to make the step up he would have done it before now.Bamford is either going to end up a top bloody striker and regular England international or a Championship player.
Like that other eternal prospect Connor Wickham.
Its a gamble, but then again any striker we sign will be. If we were to go and sign Jordan Rhodes that would also be a gamble.
Yes, but thats kinda the point though.I would love to get Bamford in. Bit harsh to judge his 6 months at Palace, they didn't even start him.
His best years are definitely ahead of him though. He may not have quite fit into how Pardew wanted to play.Yes, but thats kinda the point though.
Well why did Pardew take him on loan then? His best years are definitely ahead of him though. He may not have quite fit into how Pardew wanted to play.
Either way, he's proven in the Championship to be probably too good for that league.
