God I used to have a game, think it was called Omega, which just involed navigating a triangle (this was the space-ship) and shooting spikey circle things. It was all in black and white. God those games were primitive...

Did anyone play Yar's Revenge on Atari 2600? It made perfect sense to me at the time, but now I look back on it, what the hell was all that about?!?!

If uv never done it before, you can pretty much look up any old game on youtube - someone will have a video of it somewhere. Really brings back the memories.

Also if you're a Muse fan check this out...

Are you thinking of Omega Race?  I loved it and still play it.  Someone locally has a cocktail table version it in their private collection because it shows up at the Texas Pinball Festival every year (a small collection of vids come in along with about 350 pinball tables).

As for Yar's, it was the most successful non-license (e.g., PacMan/Asteroids/Space Invaders) game Atari sold for the 2600. There was a comic book that provided an origin story that came with the game manual.  You had "Atari Force" coming out with select games too, so in hindsight I wonder if they were drawn by the same people.  A google image search reveals some of the images from the comic.

I remember having an amstrad computer when I was young, I think it may of been my dads though having said that, then I had a master system and megadrive, Alex Kid and Sonic are my childhood, loved them games so much, followed by a PS1 and PS2, then I moved on to xbox, xbox360 and xbox1, I said I wouldn't buy an XBOX1 as I barely used by 360 anymore, then they announced that the 3rd Batman game wasnt coming out on the 360 so they lured me back in, still barely use the xbox1 for gaming, its more of a video streamer for me than a games console
