Gunn was fortunate in a sense that his tenure was followed by great times for the club. If we'd languished in League 1 for years no doubt many would have continually blamed Gunn for it all.
You could also argue however that Lambert demonstrated how well things could have gone and that this would lead to people being yet harsher on Gunn.
Gunny will always be a legend in my eyes. I dont think you can blame people for wanting to take such a job. I think most Norwich fans would be keen to have a go, no matter how unqualified.
The fault lies in the people who put both Gunn and Adams in that position in the first place. But are they too simply victims of romance? Can we blame them for that. Depends if you believe the choices were made because of sentiment, or because of finance
