I'd say he's worth a couple of million of anyone's money frankly. Decent player, and would have only looked even better with a less leaky defence behind him.

Again, lets hope Webber knows what he is doing with all this.

He's 30, and someone that I would have thought useful in the coming season, thats all.

We know whats going on here, its all about dropping the wage bill, but we have to remain competitive here as well. If Webber can unearth several absolute bargains, then its no issue, but shopping at the cheaper end of the market is a risky business, and they aren't all going to be great. I get what they are trying to do, but basically releasing every bit of experience we have isn't the answer. We have a lot of youth coming through that may just need that older head to guide them.

I'd rather we sold Graham Dorrans to Rangers for £1.3m than to Sunderland or Middlesbrough for £2.5m. 

I rate him and like the fact that he seems quite versatile and can play a few different roles,but can't begrudge him that move and it won't just be the club who wants that one to happen, he's a Rangers fan from Glasgow. 

Seems like every player around 30 is for sale.... hope somebody at the club appreciates that a few experienced calm heads are essential, we NEED a few top pros like Dorrans and Jerome around the place.

Lets face it, we're cutting our cloth. I thought we would need to. Dorrans will have been on very good money and his contract runs to 2019, one year past the point at which our revenue falls by something silly like £20m. 

I just hope this major rebuild goes much better than it did after our 2004/05 relegation, and better than QPR's attempt last season if we want more recent history. 

I'll accept that this needs to happen and won't throw a tantrum after losing any player that I like (unless its Pritchard, Nelson Oliviera or Jacob Murphy, in which case I'll pick up a pitchfork), but I wouldn't bet against this going wrong. We've been here before.

Hmm what good is experience if the player is simply not good enough? Which is the case with McGovern.

But I don't think they have much room for manoeuvre because Gunn is obviously going to be first choice so limits who they could bring in.

Plus, as you say, McGovern's silly wages will be a problem.

I have seen him play well, and I have seen him play badly. It would be interesting to judge him with a better defence in front of him.

yep happy with that deal, we're in desperate need of defenders, I've no idea what he's actually like, but as he was captain at Farke's old club he obviously knows what he brings to the table, a free transfer just an added bonus
