Rangers now bid £1.3m for Dorrans, think I would now sell for that.

Its pretty obvious all parties want this deal, and I don't think Rangers can afford much more, so yeah, we may as well get it done.

Making me chuckle people reporting this and calling him "former Norwich City striker", which really is a bit of a misnomer...

Not sure what to think of Adeyemi, but he surely isn't the quality we need at first choice level. Danny Williams of Reading is out of contract this summer, he was brilliant for them last season in defensive midfield and I don't really understand why we're not making a move for him really.

Also, very tenuous link however I do believe it, but I was talking to the dad of one of my close mates earlier, and he works with someone who is engaged to Ryan Bennett's sister. This guy went to Bennett's wedding a few weeks ago, and a few of the current Norwich squad were there, including Jonny Howson. Howson apparently told my mate's, dad's, mate that he was looking to move on from Norwich this summer.

Sounds as though the offer of £1.3m that everyone thought we had accepted for Dorrans was actually less than £500k and obviously we've rejected it. However we do want Rangers youngster Jamie Barjonas so some sort of player/cash deal could be whipped together.

Quite bored of this transfer 'saga' now to be honest. There seems to be daily updates about Dorrans' situation but nothing about Naismith, Jarvis, McGovern, Wildschut or Klose, who all need to be moved on.

I'd be tempted to say to Rangers give us £2.5m/£3m and you can have Dorrans and Naismith. Could do worse than try and throw McGovern and Jarvis in there as well.

Great news that, hopefully it means that he'll get a good amount of game time this season. 

Although that said we have so many attacking players it is relatively hard to see how he's going to get considerable opportunities. Even if we do manage to sell Naismith, Jarvis and Wildschut (and so far it seems to we've had no interest from anyone for any of them) Maddison's still gonna be competing with Wes, Pritchard, Jacob, Josh and Watkins. 6 players all competing for 2 or 3 spots. I know obviously we have to have depth but even 6 players does seem excessive. Not saying we should sell any of those 6 as they're all very good players, but it is difficult to see how they're all going to be satisfied with the amount of game time they're getting.

I just hope we are getting a decent price for Howson. I have surrendered to the inevitability of it now, whilst he cites "wanting to move back north" as his reason, I suspect if we had offered him more money that would have changed his mind. We have been backed into a corner here really, as if he isn't sold now, he'll only decrease in value. Its a shame, but thats where we are.

Both are good players. Howson is a significantly more than 5 mill player personally.

It's going to take something special to replace them with similar levels of ability for less fees and less wages. Clearly we genuinely do need to sell to buy!

Farke has confirmed at press conference that Dorrans left the squad yesterday to go and have a medical with Rangers. Also he is looking for another CB and a LB. Raves about Harrison and says he really wants to work with Howson as rates him as one of the best in the division, but understands there is interest, and he has a desire to go back north.
