I do think Jacob is the better play, however I also believe that if he was to leave that Josh could easily step up and take his place. I have said before I believe that technically Josh has a slight edge, however Jacob is a lot better at utilising his pace and beating his man. Jacob happened to be the one who Alex Neil gave a chance, and fair play to him because he took that chance, but once Neil left Irvine often seemed to prefer Josh who would usually always do a good job. Wouldn't sell for less than £15m, and even then in today's market I'd probably try and squeeze a little bit more out of Newcastle. I would rather he didn't leave though.

Yes he has had one good season, and not even in the Premiership, but if you look at some of the daft transfers recently, its probably about right. I do hope we have decent sell on clauses though, just in case he continues to improve. Strange to think that this time last season he was hardly even being talked about. And any talk was that his brother was better than him.

I think the timing of this, and the price are both about right.

Be interesting to see how he does. He's got a bit of pace and he's got a goal in him. But his movement isn't great and neither is his link up play. Hard to tell how much that can improve at this stage of his career.

Disappointed to lose him - could look like a great price if he doesn't kick off from here but in a flawed tactical system and a struggling team away from home in his first ever season  at Championship level his returns were very good for a winger. If he does kick on and do well it'll look like a snip for a young English winger.

Newcastle fan here. Pretty happy with a young promising wide player who looks like he's got good technique, a decent finish and plenty of movement. Doesn't hurt that there's been a picture of him and his brother in a Newcastle shirt (so he's totally a Newcastle fan, right?... right? Ah come on guys) I'm sure Ashley will be happy with a player with resale value.

Transfer fee aside (this market is mental) do you think he's a good signing for a side that'll likely be at the wrong end of the Premier League table for much of the season? A side that plays pragmatic, counter attack football.
