    Nicklas Bendtner anyone? cant really believe there's much in it to be honest, clearly not good enough for Arsenal but I think he'd probably do a decent enough job for us

Dear god no!

Has an ego that makes Maverick in Top Gun look like a introverted recluse by comparison, consistently fluffed great chances whilst at Arsenal and alongside some of the best players in the game, and has consistently failed to hit good scoring levels at ANY club he's been at (aside from a decent spell at Brum in the Champs nearly TEN years ago!), including his first season at Wolfsburg where he managed a SINGLE league goal in EIGHTEEN league games and most recently his current season where's he's sat on TWO league goals in TEN games.

He was similarly awful at Juventus without managing a single goal in 9 games (that's all the league games he got that season!) and I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest that anything is going to change.

He's simply deluded and thinks he's up there with the best in the world, when in truth I'd rather have Holt back than us sign Bendtner (despite Holt's age and similar lack of recent form)!!!

Finnish football magazine Urheilulehti links us to Frankfurt's Seferovic. Don't know is there anything behind it and only reason magazine is interested is our national goalkeeper plays in same team and one of our strikers is linked to move there, if Seferovic or Castaignos move.

They say that he is our third choise target if Naismith won't go trough, but don't mention who those other two would be. Anyway Urheilulehti is known to be right every tenth time so probably nothing in it.

Also red an another article in same magazine about Gaston Ramirez and his probable departure from Southampton. Was one of the better players in Hull previous season and has proven quality in this league and his contract ends during the summer so he can be signed with pre-conract. Reportedly in very high wages, but probably would take cut as he is currently in negotiations with Bologna and they shouldn't be able to pay equal wages with top half premier league club. What do you guys think? Never shined in Southampton, but clearly got skills and can play multiple positions.

I'd rather we took a gamble on bringing Obafemi Martins from the MLS than sign Bendtner. 

Still only 31 according to official sources, which as a Nigerian should mean he was born no earlier than 1968.

No, but there is a wealth of young players out on loan at the minute. The Premier league academy was always going to take 5 years, at least to start bearing fruit.

Definitely seen an improvement in the quality of kids coming through in recent years though so we are getting closer.

A few broke through but were unlucky that we progressed as quickly as we did under Lambert, Korey Smith in particular.

Many of the top clubs are importing their youngsters so there is no reason why we can't compete for the good British talent.

British sport has always left it too late at times with athletes not making into the club and national sides in football, rugby, cricket because their talent has been ignored purely because of their age.

Hodgson and now Eddie Jones have sensed that youth is the way forward as the older brigade become content to play risk free. Trust them and you may well be rewarded.

The academy was never going to be immediately succesful, give it time. Before it existed most of Norwich City's catchment area to sign young players consisted of the North sea.

Since its inception we have won the youth FA cup and we currently have several youth products out on loan. The standard of the young players we are signing and producing has increased dramatically.

I go to a lot of the youth games at Carrow road, trust me, the futures bright.
