I hope this place doesn't become a ghost town when they fix it tbh, there's been enough warning signs that the Pink'un aren't interested in the forum.

That condescending 'warning' post by Connor Southwell that the children didn't behave they'd get rid of the forum the most obvious one, followed by the deletion of the non-football forum, as well as the trigger happy banning which I think has seen a few people banished for a third trivial offence. I suspect they just end up back on under a different name, but still.

Who says you can't use two forums? The Pink'Un will always be my main forum, but I'm going to stick around here too from time to time

Well, I will be a regular visitor. I live so far away that I rarely get to matches nor see us on TV anymore (Sky Sports was too expensive when you added up all the packages). So, I've little I can say that is informed enough to post much.

I recall those comments by CS and it was a huge red flag. As you say, it showed you what he thinks of supporters. Threads also disappeared without warning.

I suspect many will drift away in the months to come. Organisations change and you sometimes have to be patient and let them get on with it. At some point there will be a new moderator or some new ideas about engaging with the fans. The present lot leave a lot to be desired.

Thankfully, there are other forums like this one, quietly going on and successfully too. A community doesn't have to be massive either, it's not a prerequisite for a successful site.

I think many people will hang about. I hope so.

"Threads also disappeared without warning."

Reminder that for some reason you can't even talk about weather. I made a thread about the storm and the bad weather and how it might affect our game and the match (So the thread was football related..) and just ten minutes later the thread had been removed!

It was always an issue for me that some people there seemed to have the moderators number on speed dial. And very much wanted things their own way.

And by "some people" I mean "interfering old busybodies".

I expect I'll be mainly back on the pink un forum but just want to say thanks to those of you running this forum for running it so well and being so welcoming. Interesting to see @Sonyc on here - I'd been wondering what had happened to him - always liked his posts. I'll be back.

I don't think the accusation is that off the wall, I don't think Archant, or whoever they are now, have ever really particularly cared about the forum. They probably expected it to die off naturally, but it hasn't.

A lame apology. Nobody could be bothered to come in over the xmas holidays to fix it is nearer the truth.
Exactly. The "nothing to do with me" comment is the giveaway, even for the amateur psychologist. The forum is also SO important but it disappears over the Xmas period and no-one the wiser. On his desk list of things to do this morning ... Quick apology and that's one job sorted (tick)
