Yeah been confirmed now. Bit of a strange one considering the limited number of homegrown players we have. I guess Farke and co never thought he was going to break into the team, which to be fair he has shown no signs of doing.

Will be interesting to see if we sign a homegrown winger on loan. Don't think we neccesarily need to but it might not be a bad thing to do as cover in case we get an injury crisis or whatever.

Hopefully Oliviera will have one his purple patches for Reading so we can con somebody into paying for him on a permanent in the summer.

Also.... he'd being Norfolk a service if he can win a few points for Reading who are in the relegation zone.

It's actually a shame it's worked out like this with Nelson, clearly there's a player with huge amounts of ability and the potential to be a top class striker, just a shame he's already a top class striker in his head, hopefully he can go to Reading score a few goals and help send them down the road to league one

I believe he is one of those players that never lasts long at clubs, so yeah, you would have to assume why.

We have no evidence that he's a bad person or unpopular with his colleagues, or even disliked as a person by Farke or Webber.

Evidence that he can be petulant does exist though.

But I think it was pretty obvious last season that he wasn't prepared to do what was necessary to play Farkeball and wasn't the team player we needed. And rumours are that he was a bit of a lazy trainer, and Farke shipped all of those out..... Watkins and Josh Murphy included.

Could well be the case that Reading is full of players who have no confidence and don't dare to just fucking shoot and that Oliviera coming in and having a go at goal from wherever could be just what they need.

Its not what we need though..... we don't need a player messing up our triangles and one-twos by taking random pot shots from 30 yards. He was also useless at attacking crosses and anything in and around the six yard box..... never seemed to ever try and get himself on the end of things or go in with his head.

Can see why Reading are taking a punt on somebody with a bit of charisma though considering where they are in the league and I suspect he could bang in a few for them if he's kept himself fit and is up for it..... them having Portuguese manager will help.

28 goals in 93 apps for the championship, in a pinch he could be perfect for Reading if he hits the ground running, I mean he's certainly better than loaning a 26 year old forward with 66 apps and only 6 goals...

I wouldn't be interested in having either of the Murphy twins back to be honest, and Jacob wouldn't be the one I'd choose if I had to pick one.

They both offer a threat going forward and will give opposition full backs problems and score goals..... but they give your own full backs problems too by never tracking back and I always questioned their mental strength to be honest.
