still just 1-0 at HT, so still in it, got to make a quick start to the 2nd half though and improve in all areas of the game

I would say our midfield is at the moment where the problem lies. Distances get too high and with Wes clearly in  almost as second striker role and is out of comfort zone and we can't produce anything. Drop to Wes his prefered position and let Jarvis get higher and change Jerome to Mbokani.

That would be my medicine. Also VOO isn't winger. I saw him get mayby once past of his man and eveb though he looks active he is doing absolutely nothing for the game at the moment. He should be more central when we attack even though he defend as wide midfielder. Play winger if we want wing plays.

I would take Wes off and put VOO in his role as a minimum. VOO is being shown the outside by his marker every time because he hasn't got the pace to go past him, But he can control it quickly and on the edge of the box, that gives you the edge. We are virtually playing 4-4-2 at the moment but haven't got two strikers on the pitch. AN has fiddled again and it hasn't worked so far.

Mbokani has been poor most of the time he has been here and although he played better on Wednesday, he hardly ever moves to the ball, he waits for it. Their CB's don't have to move out of their comfort zone.

Absolutely pathetic. Jarvis, Hoolahan and Martin in particular have been appalling. We were just completely unable to get the ball off Bournemouth and when we did get the ball our passing was probably the worst I've seen it this season. Odjidja the only real man looking like he can create something, but I feel like he'll be far more effective through the middle. I would honestly get Wes off now, put Odjidja through the middle and get Redmond out right. That's also now twice in 2 games that Brady hasn't tracked his man and we've conceded because of it, and with Jarvis not playing great maybe we'd be better to push Brady up the pitch and Olsson back in at left back. The only saving grace is the fact that it's only 1-0.

Why wait until you are two down to make changes.

It looks like their bright young manager is making our bright young manager look a little dimmer.

That change is just as bizarre.

Redmond for VOO makes sense, but Jerome for Jarvis???

So yet again we're going to play someone OOP for no good reason...

Feel for Olsson atm, as Brady is NOT a LB, but is great at LM/LW, leaving Redmond to play right instead of Howson/VOO etc.

Just WTF AGAIN???

FFS.. Horrible defending. First the clearing then defending...

We can moan about our attacking, but if the ball never comes out from defence and midfield and wide players only carry it far ad opposition lets there is no chance Mbokani and Hoolahan can be in the game. Cant really blame them except Mbokani could move a bit more when we have the ball.

Truly schocking tactical game thus far. Let see if changes help.

Yeah cant figure what AN is wanting from his team. Now it at least really is 4-4-2, but again Hoolahan is out of position, so probably he isnt that effective.

Also cant figure what Olsson has done wrong except that he doesnt offer forward much as Brady.

Hopefuly this is again one of those games....

Edit: and now Mbokani misses clear cut chance, but at least we get some pressure

Why isn't Pinto playing? It is complete bullshit to say he can't be ready. Russell Martin is not good enough.

Not fit because of their mid season break? So how do they resume after the mid season break? Gradually? No, they train and then resume their season.

Game over and we are again serious relegation candidates. Howson's performance was only somewhat positive thing today, but everybody else could just go look at mirror. Specially all four defenders, Tettey, VOO and Mbokani.

Declan Rudd outstanding and MOTM for me.

This is absolutely embarrasing. The most lacklustre joke of a performance I have seen for a long time, and of all the games to perform this poorly in it's this one, which is such a big game. We need new signings all over the pitch because based on this we are nowhere near good enough for this level. Absolutely pathetic with a difficult run of games coming up.

Totally inept performance by the management today. AN tries to do things that can't be done with this line up and squad. Why put Wes out left, a position any NCFC supporter will tell you has been his worst position since he joined in 2008?

And there is not too much excuse about players not signing. But maybe that is the board's fault.

We desperately need to bring in a quality player or two to lift the squad.

Good job we didn't give it a real go against Man City in the cup.

At least two but I am now beginning to worry about where they will be played. We had players out of position all over the pitch today and I am now concerned that our management team is out of its depth and what quality they are looking to bring in. And coupled with the board's bottom line vision, I am worried for us. And the performances are pretty ordinary, today being rock bottom. Without Rudd it would have been far worse. Today was a championship team playing L1 football.

Football is an emotional, in your face, in the moment game. And the amount of swearing at my laptop today told me I still feel so much for this club. And reactions need to be gauged by that fact.  Today was not the time for reason, it was the time for telling like it was.

Just think how much worse it could have been if Pinto had played.

That one confuses me.

Not ready because of their mid season break! I ask again. What happens at the end of mid season breaks? Do they phase it in gradually ? No, they all start from fresh and have kept fit. Is Pinto so unfit that he couldn't start? 6 goals conceded in the previous two games and Pinto doesn't even make it to the bench.
